“Good food, fast service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

After going to two restaurants that had 1-1.5 hour waits, it was nice to go to a place with immediate seating and counter service. We enjoyed the chicken tacos and their cheese dip is really good as well. They offer fast service and food quality is not compromised.

“One of my favorites! ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

Fuzzy's (any location) is always one of my favorite places for reliably good Tex-Mex. My two favorite items to order are the shredded pork nachos and the tempura fish burrito. Only once have I been disappointed by either of these, and there have been many visits. If you order the chips and guacamole, be aware that the bowl of guacamole is not full - there's a good bit of shredded lettuce underneath the guac. If you've been to Fuzzy's before, keep going. If you haven't, you owe it to yourself to give it a try.

“Love the shredded pork tacos”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

Another place with good food at a good price. The quest and guacamole are good and not pricey. They have beer, wine, margaritas. Tv's to watch sports. I love the shredded pork tacos

“Funny name, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

Fuzzy is not the sort of name you'd normally want on a restaurant. But the original TCU-area hangout has grown and managed to keep a funky, unpretentious feeling.

And no, the tacos aren't actually fuzzy! The food here is straight-up Tex-Mex, but done well and not dumbed down. The service is pretty basic - walk-up counter and wait for your number to get called - but the food, atmosphere, and staff are all welcoming.

My local Fuzzy's (never thought I'd say that) is the Grapevine location. It's about as far southeast in Grapevine you can get and not be in Euless. It's on the northeast corner of the Glade/SH 121 intersection, in the center that also houses Hobby Lobby and Empress of China.

I've tried several items on the menu, but usually come back to the chicken fajita salad. For some reason, they prepare theirs with feta cheese. Not to my liking, but they have no problem dropping the feta if you don't want it, or substituting another type. But if you like feta, you're in the right place.

If you plan to re-visit Fuzzy's, remember to take your plastic drink cup. Upon your next visit, you get a $1 knocked off your bill as a "refill" discount. A nice touch.

Fuzzy's is not a full bar service, but you can get beer and margaritas. There is no bar, per se, but more like a beachside taco shop with walk-up beer service.

Since it is counter service, there is no wait staff. But the staff generally is on top of busing tables quickly, for those patrons that chose to leave their trays behind. And the staff is always friendly at this location.

Yes, there are more upscale places to get Tex-Mex, and there are many places that do the paper-towel-roll-on-the-table thing, but it all seems to work at Fuzzy's. There is no shortage of close-by competitors including Torchy's (Southlake), Cantina Laredo, La Hacienda, the recently-opened So Cal Tacos, and others. Heck, there is even a Taco Bueno and a Taco Bell seconds from this location. Just looking at that assortment of other options, you'd think the field was pretty crowded, and it is. Yet, Fuzzy's stacks it claim and delivers as a inexpensive choice for good Tex-Mex.

“Surprisingly solid.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

We had a great time eating here. The food was pretty good. The servers were nice. It looked like a cool bar and consistent drink specials and lots of TV's to watch the game. I would definitely like to come back.

App: Queso with chorizo - pretty tasty with their chips. It wasn't life changing or anything, but tasted good.

I had fajitas and they were tasty. The beef was a little chewy, but still a positive experience.

The prices were right. The employees were happy to see us and it was great for a quick lunch.
