“Over prcied and small”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

If you happen to be at the Grapevine Mills and want to stop by an aquarium then it will do. It isn't worth a trip just on it's own. It is a very small, compact place. It is very geared towards small children. I much prefer the Dallas World Aquarium. If you have toddlers though, this could be a perfect outing. Not so much for preteens and upwards.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to send us your review of SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium here on Trip Advisor. We do appreciate all feedback we receive from our guests and always love hearing what they have to say about their visit.

We are sorry to hear you felt the aquarium was small. SEA LIFE Grapevine is compact compared to others but we believe ingenuity of its design and layout has allowed us to maximize the space we have and provide a substantial experience for those who are willing to take the time to investigate each and every display. There are over 5,000 sea animals of more than 100 species we feature inside the aquarium and sometimes they are a little shy and tend to hide but if you look more throughly you are bound the see these awesome and interesting animals.

We also have our education team that is available for all of our guests during their visit into the attraction. Our education team is very passionate about their job and love answering and telling people about all the fascinating facts about some of the animals we have inside.

Our primary target market are families with young children. In order not to swamp every visitor with information and signage, we do have to make as much our interpretation, whether written or verbal, simple enough for everyone to understand. This helps with the families who have young children so the parents do not have to constantly explain or interpret information for their children. We do want to make sure we cater to everyone and again this is where our education team comes into play. They will answer any and all of your questions to make the most of your visit.

Again, thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback of your visit. We do have that you will come back and visit us again. On your next visit we hope that you get to interact with our education team and learn some fascinating facts about some of the animals we have inside. When you do come back to visit again we would love to hear how your visit went the second time around!

“Compact and pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

The aquarium itself is nice. It is small, but there are a lot of hidden areas to see fish. That being said, my 1 year old absolutely loved it. All the tanks are all the way down to the walkway and she could see everything. I would visit again on a discount day. Full price is a bit much, but worth a second look.

“Nicely done but tiny.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2014

I hate to write a negative review of this place as it was very well done and spotless. The personnel were everywhere and very attentive. It was just really really small. We have been to aquariums all over the United States and we plan trips around them. This is not one to plan a trip around. Sea Life took about 1-1/2 hours to go through but that was because we really took our time. It could have been easily done in 30 minutes. We did this on a Groupon so our tickets were only $9 each as compared to the regular price of $26. It is worth $9. There is no way in the world it is worth $26.

Again, personnel were wonderful. Facilities and tanks were spotless. They even had a nice kids area to let the little ones play in. On top of that, we were MOST impressed that they had a wheelchair lift to get wheelchairs to the top of the viewing platform for the tiny ray tank. That was really nice. There just wasn't a lot there. Yes, it was two stories but that did not make it big in any way.

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to send us your review on Trip Advisor. We do avalue and appreciate all feedback we receive from our guests.

We are happy to hear our staff was wonderful. They our education staff is very passionate about their jobs and they are always willing to help and give you information about all of the different fish we have inside our attraction. Our aquarists also work very hard to ensure all of our displays are clean and presentable at all times.

We are sorry to hear you felt your experience did not represent good value. We do monitor guest perception on this very issue and the vast majority believe they get excellent value for money. We also watch and take into consideration the prices that our competitiors charge and are confident our pricing, given then quality of our offering, is extremely competitive.

Although the attraction might be compact by comparison to others, we believe the ingenuity of its layout and design has enabled us to maximize the space and provide a substantial experience for anyone. We do feature over 5,000 sea animals of more than 100 species.

Again, thank you for taking the time to send us your review of SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium here on Trip Advisor. We do hope that you will come back to visit again and when you do we would love to hear what you have to say!

“Well worth it ... get the behind the scenes tour...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

This aquarium is smaller than some we've been too but so worth the time. It took about 1.5 hours to go through and 30 min for the behind the scenes tour....they have some remarkable stories of rescue and rehab with their sea turtles...the staff were so nice and knowledgeable and always asked if we wanted to know more information...well worth the time after a visit to the Rain Forest cafe...

“Costly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

We would not have gone without our Groupon! The prices are ridiculous for what they have. I paid more here than what I paid for Ripley's in Gatinburg, TN and that takes an entire day! We were seriously disappointed,,,,

Hi There! Thank you for providing your feedback of SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium. We appreciate and value all feedback we receive from our guests.

We are sorry to hear you felt your experience did not represent good value for money. We do pay close attention to our guests perception very closely on this issue and the vast majority believe they receive excellent value for money. We also take into consideration what our competitors, both in the aquariums sector and other leisure attractions, are charging and feel our pricing is quite competitive.

One factor which may have bearing is the time taken to investigate each of our displays. Sea animals seldom line up to admired, and those who derive most from a visit SEA LIFE are those who linger at each display and make sure to see everything. We also have our education staff available for our guests to ask questions and find out more information on all of our fishy residents. They love answering questions and are always happy to point out the more elusive animals and give our guests some interesting facts.

Again, we would like to thank you for taking the time to send us your review here on Trip Advisor and we do hope you will visit again and explore more thoroughly. When you do come to visit again we would love to hear how your visit the second time around.
