“Great visit with one big hiccup”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

As suggested by the “Plan your visit” tab on the Legoland Discovery Center website , we purchased tickets online. (“It’s quick and easy, and you’ll get priority entrance too.”) There is no priority entrance. In fact, anyone walking up to the “cash” line was waited on first; despite the fact that we had pre-purchased tickets for arrival between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 well in advance. We waited until about 10:45 to get in despite having arrived just after 10:00 a.m. It was infuriating to wait when folks just walking into the mall would come up and ask “How much for tickets?” and were let into the facility as the families in the “pre-paid online” line grew more and more impatient and the line grew to over 50 people. It felt like we were being punished for having planned ahead. So bad was this experience prior to entering the facility that we made it a point to take the (lengthy) survey located on a kiosk as you’re about to leave. One of the questions on the survey? (I’m paraphrasing) “Did your experience in line make for a less than perfect visit?” Uh, yes. And if you KNOW this is an issue, why aren’t you making it better?!
Despite the line issue, our 4 year-old grandson (a Lego fanatic) couldn’t have been happier with his visit. He loved it all. It’s just unfortunate that he (and his parents and grandparents) had to wait 40 minutes despite planning ahead for “priority” entry.

Hello there and thank you for taking the time to send us your review of LEGOLAND Discovery Center on Trip Advisor.

During peak times it tends to get and stay quite busy for us and there might be a small wait. The holiday season tends to stay on the busy side since schools are out of session and families are looking for something fun to do with their children. Our admissions team works hard to make sure all of pre-purchased guests have a smooth and fast experience from the moment they arrive at our attraction.

We will definitely be sure to pass this information along to the appropriate team to make improvements on our admissions procedure. We hope that you will come back to visit to see how we have improved. When you do come to visit we would love to hear what you have to say about your visit again.

Again, thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback and we hope to see you and your family again soon.

“Ok place ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013

Definitely over priced for adults . Adults are there just to watch the kids. Our toddlers loved Legoland . The 3 rides and 4d film was a hit. Highly recommend buying tickets online and going when they first open at 10. Lines started getting long and had to maneuver around couple of schools bringing kids .

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to send us your review on Trip Advisor. We appreciate and value all feedback we receive from all of our guests.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center is a family attraction and designed for families to interact and have fun together while learning. With the exception of the play zone and our Forest Ranger Pursuit ride the adults can engage with their children in other areas of our attraction such as The Factory Tour, Kingdom Quest, Build and Test areas, Princess Palace, Merlin's Apprentice, 4D Theater, MINILAND and the Star Wars Model Display.

We are so glad to hear your toddlers had a great time and really enjoyed the rides and 4D theater. We hope you were able to enjoy all three movies. During the school year and around the Holidays it does tend to stay on the busy side but we are glad your children still had a great time.

We will be sure to pass along your feedback to the correct team. We hope to see your and your family back for another BRICK'tastic day and we would love to hear about your visit again to let us know what we have improved on and what we can still improve. Again, thank you for your feedback about your visit to LEGOLAND Discovery Center.

“not THAT bad...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

So after reading several reviews, I seriously contemplated as to whether or not we should go. Ultimately we went, and I'm so glad we did! We visited on a Friday night, around 6 pm. There weren't many people and only one birthday party. My son, 10 years old, was able to get up close to all the exhibits and we were able to ride the rides multiple times without waiting in a line. The staff was really nice and the facility was clean. I bought the tickets online and received a small discount, which helps. Being that this is "LEGOLAND" after all, I would suggest not going on the weekend, I'm sure it's an absolute nightmare then.

“Birthday Lego party!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

Family went for a 5 year olds birthday party and it was quite a fun time! From the opening attractions to all there is to do inside, it was all very cool! The only thing is kids have to be certain height to do a lot of things inside, so maybe best for around 5 and older. Especially the larger built up objects that were inside were awesome to see. Won't say what all they were in order not to spoil. But all in all definitely worth spending a day.

Hi and thank you for your positive feedback.

Birthdays are a very special time for families to spend together and we are so glad to hear everyone had a great time. We do have height restrictions on all of our rides and play zone because the safety of our guests is our number one priority.

We hope that you took lots of pictures of all of the fun builds we have inside and glad to hear you had an overall great time visiting our attraction and we hope you and your family will be back soon.

“Something for Everyone!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

Buy your ticket online NOW!!!! This was WELL worth the 6-hour drive to get there! It far exceeded all of our expectations...from Grandma, to Mom, to two boys age 4 and 8. We LOVED the 4D cartoons, plan to be surprised. We were FASCINATED with the MiniLand area where the Dallas landmarks were built with Legos...DFW Airport, Cowboys Stadium, Rangers Stadium, Downtown skyscrapers, and even South Fork...all built in Legos, for Pete's Sake! The ride with the laser guns was so fun that we rode it 5 times, like a tournament to see which family member was the champion. Mom won, to the chagrine of the 8-year-old. The staff was SO FRIENDLY, and supervised in such a kind way. We liked the size, all built around a circle, so we did not lose each other. Our pizza dinner was really tasty. We went on a weekday afternoon of Oklahoma's Fall Break, and there were no lines or crowds.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to send us your review on Trip Advisor!

We are so glad to hear your trip was worth the 6 hour drive to get to us and we hope to have you and your family back for more BRICK'tastic fun! The 4D is great because it is for all ages and we love the interactions it has with all of our guests.

It is quite amazing what you can do with LEGO® Brick and when you actually see the buildings, stadiums and cars set up in MINILAND it gives you a bit of inspiration to go back and build something of you own. Kingdom Quest is a fun ride and it's exciting to see who is going to rack up the most points each ride.

We are happy to hear from the time of arrival all the way to your pizza was a great experience. Again, thank you for the positive feedback on your visit and we want to wish you safe travels on your next visit to come and see us again!
