“We had a Blast!”

We were a little disappointed that we didn't get "Puffy" and got the diesel instead. It was very disheartening to find out that "Puffy" only runs on Saturdays (this information isn't available on the website, we got it from one of the brochures that they gave us with our tickets), and we were SO looking forward to it. That was the main reason we decided to go on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, but we had a wonderful time overall.

Our son was so excited to ride his first real train! Granted, the train was a little on the slow-side, and there was so A/C, but his excitement made it all the more fun! We even got robbed!!!! The boy child got a kick out of that, and got "deputized" with all the other children.

2We had a wonderful time, and will be doing it again!!!

“Boring train ride!”

Train from Grapevine to Ft.Worth was painfully SLOW with several stops along the way in the middle of nowhere. I'd say the ride was very boring with nothing to look at along the way except beaten-down neighborhoods.
Once in Ft.Worth, the Stockyards is ok. You'll have a little over 2hrs to spend eating and looking around, which is plenty of time. It's a neat experience if you've never been there, it's like going back in time.
The train-ride itself was a total bore! Save yourself and just drive out there.
