“NOT on HWY 114”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

The hotel is very nice. The staff are AWSOME! They are friendly and helpful.
The hotel is NOT on W State HWY 114, it is actually on Main Street.
Breakfast had many choices even if you are health concious. The indoor pool and hot tub are nice for year around use. The fitness room has new equipment with individual TVs on each. The shuttle will take you to the airport, down town, and to either mall. They will then pick you up if you just call them, and this is a 24 hour service that is included!

Room Tip: Rooms all seem quiet and all were very clean.

I have stayed in this hotel multiple nights over the last month on business. This hotel looks brand new. It's very clean and the rooms are nicely appointed. The lobby has a cozy little bar that also serves food in the evening--not great food, but convenient. The breakfast is a deal for $10....hot and cold buffet, plus made-to-order omelets, etc. I have found all of the front desk staff to be friendly, efficient, and professional. Free shuttle service to and from the airport.

Excellent hotel. My room was clean, very comfortable and quiet. Staff was excellent. Room service dinner was delicious and delivered quckly. I usually stay at the Hilton in Southlake but because they were booked I chose to stay here. Turned out to be the right choice from all of the many hotels to choose from. Short ride from DFW and easy access to the highways. And plenty of restaurants within walking distance. They also have a buffet breakfast, all you can eat for $9.95, and it was scrumptious. I will definitely stay here again.

It's a nice clean place to stay in when your pace DFW airport.
They have nice breakfast and not like other hotels, the breakfast is available from 6 am till 10 am, which is a good time.
In addition, they offer coffee and free snack in the lobby. Moreover, the shuttle goes to the airport every 30 min.

Checked into the HGI and was greeted by an exceptional front desk clerk. He was humorous, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. The trip was great, the rooms fantastic and staff superb!!! Front desk staff upon learning i was doing my laundry, gave me the detergent and fabric softner. The vending machines were charging $1.00 each.

Room Tip: Bottom floors #104 is directly across from laundry. Convenient for "road warrior" like me...

I stayed at this hotel the night before my flight out the next day. The hotel staff were very friendly and the room was clean and quiet. The breakfast in the morning was very good. One word of caution, the shuttle is not very reliable so just give yourself plenty of time. IE the shuttle that was supposed to leave for the airport at 8:30 left 20 minutes late and needless to say, all others were backed up as well so just plan to go earlier, especially as the day goes on. The good news is, DFW is really easy to check in and get through security because of the way they are set up.

Room Tip: I had a room on the top floor (4th) but I think they are all very quiet.

I'm not sure what exactly to stay... I'm not a big fan of Hilton and was not amused when my assistant booked me in a Hilton Garden Inn hotel. What can I say? I'm a huge fan of them now.

Check in.... was a bit of a fumble on their part, but the front desk staff was very friendly and explained what was going on as they attempted to get us rooms. Once we were checked in, they explained the amenities in the hotel and how to get to our room.

Rooms.... stayed in a standard king room. Very spacious, nice furnishings and a nice work area. Bathroom has granite counter tops, nice size shower (no tub) and was very spacious. The room was laid out well, the A/C worked great and the TV service (local and national channels) was fantastic.

Food / Bar Service... breakfast was ok... nothing to write home about. The people working the breakfast area are very nice and are willing to cook you anything you want. The bacon and eggs on the buffet line were pretty unappealing, but they quickly offered to cook something for me. That's service right there. We ate a few dinners at the bar area and the food and service was fantastic. The hotel staff and bartender allowed us to watch the playoff games in the bar area even though the bar was officially closed. The bartender here is a very friendly guy - a true asset to the hotel.

Service... boy these people are friendly. The hotel itself is nice but the staff is what makes it great. Everyone we ran in to was super friendly, always asked how we were doing and when we had any requests, were sure to jump on it and ensure it was taken care of.

I'll probably stop being a Hyatt snob now and stay at a Hilton Garden Inn again in the future.
