I called Monday June 30, 2014 to see if they had any rooms available for check in 7-4-14 and check out 7-5-14. I honestly did not expect them to have any rooms available on such late notice for the July 4th weekend. But I was advised by Crystal that they actually had several rooms and she went over the options. We had 6 adults, one 14-year old and a 2-year old. After being given the options it was determined we needed 3 rooms - with the last room have a king-size bed and 2 twin size beds. She said the rooms were $109 a night and the third room would be $109 with an addition $49 for the extra area with the twin beds. I confirmed the reservation. I provided my email address and asked if she would send me my confirmation as well as an activities sheet. After the call was completed, and I didn't get an email I called back. Crystal said she sent the email and I confirmed my email and she said that was what she had and she resend. After not getting, I called again and she said she attempted the email several times so I provided an alternate email. I then received the activities sheet with an email asking if I wanted to sign up for any activities. I emailed back the next day (from the original email provided) and asked another question about the reservation. When we arrived on the 4th, I was charged almost double for each room from the quote of $109.00! When I questioned it, I was advised that the $109 was the weekday rate. I advised the $109 was what I was quoted. Additionally, BRanch website does not give rates for the rooms. It gives a range and ask that you call their representative. So, I couldn't have just pulled $109 out of my hat, because there would have been no way for me to know that was a weekday rate. They advised that they sent an email confirming the rate and when I asked to see that, the email address had an additional "e" in the address, preventing me from getting the email. But again, Crystal was aware I wasn't getting the emails and when I sent her an email from my email, she did not then forward the confirmation to me. Even if the weekday rate of $109 was given in error it is unprofessional to quote that - then charge quite a bit more -- and not stand by the quote given. Following our visit, on Monday July 7, 2014 I sent an email to Crystal and to the information email provided on their website, reciting the situation and the unprofessionalism (and violation of DPTA) and have had no response. Again, if you are going to stand by your error and book rooms under false pretenses at least give me the benefit of a professional response. I will not be back, nor would I recommend to any of our friends and family.
