“It's 4:46 am and I'm awake!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

It's 4:46 am and I'm awake writing this review! Not because I have a really early morning flight at DFW (which is only about 15 minutes away), not because I'm heading to Six Flags (which is only about 10 minutes away), not because I'm excited about going to a Cowboys or Rangers game (which is only only about 10 - 15 minutes away depending on game traffic), but because I've been dealing with noise all night from the highway traffic, an occasional low flying airplane, the coughing in the room next to me, and because of the train that just sounded like it was coming through the parking lot outside my window. Other than that, I am perfectly comfortable and since I'm a glass is half full kind of person, the good news is that I've got plenty of time to get cleaned up and ready for my 8:40 flight, I'll get in an extra 30 minutes of reading time in, and I can go ahead and write my blog for next Wednesday morning! That's plenty to be excited about! Oh, and the staff is nice and the beds are always comfortable at this chain. It's going to be a good day............................

Room Tip: Bring your ear plugs if you can sleep with them, or you won't sleep very much or very long. I...

Excellent service
Great morning breakfast offering
Great value
This place sets the Hilton standard for service and top notch facility
I travel a lot for business, typically 60 or more trips a year. I use Hampton Inns whenever they are available because they always deliver great service top notch facilities and all at great price point.

This one met the high standard I've come to expect. Especially late at night the front desk people were geniunely welcoming and helpful.

Room Tip: I prefer second or third floor.

Stayed at this hotel for a few days while on business. Hotel is definately showing its age, but don't let that scare you away. The staff at this hotel is outstanding! They have got customer service skills! Airport shuttle driver was extremely friendly as well, and was at DFW within 15 minutes of our call! Hotel is in what looks to be a "sketchy" neighborhood, especially at night, so request a 2nd or 3rd floor room, if possible. The pool is outside, but it was actually clean; unlike most outdoor pools. When I am back in the south DFW area again, I will definately be staying here! Also, a huge thank you to the all the staff here for making my stay pleasant!

Room Tip: Request a room on 2nd or 3rd floor for peace of mind. Rooms facing north have an amazing view of pla...

I was pleased with this location and overall had a very nice stay. The staff was friendly and the room clean. The renovations were nice, I just would have liked better outlets closer to the bed. And the HVAC was a little tricky. I was here on business and would stay again for work or with my family.

Very nice property - well maintained and convenient to DFW airport. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, property overall was fine. Highly recommended. Will stay here again on future trips to the area.

This Hampton is getting up there in age. They are working on it: painting, re-carpeting, and putting in flat screens, but the rooms are still old-fashioned. The staff is friendly, and the breakfasts are good. It is a little cheaper than the newer Hamptons, and I would say if you get a good deal, this is an OK hotel. For a few extra bucks, and a better location, though, I usually stay at the newer Hampton in N Arlington.

Located half way between the airport and Six Flags / The Ballpark / Jerry's World. You would think this would be a prime location for a new Hampton Inn. This one is in need of a makeover. Popcorn ceiling, cracks in the walls, small bathroom, tricky AC. Not a good representation of the brand. The desk clerk was nice and helpful but this hotel needs some work. With plenty of options surrounding here I will try something else on my next visit. Was planning to park here and shuttle to the airport but I will pay the DFW parking fee. Not so sure about the security here. Dark parking lot and questionable area.

Room Tip: Try something else.
