We were in Granbury for a soccer tournament. Due to a problem with our online reservation with another hotel, we were stuck with no room at the last minute. After reading some negative reviews, we were reluctant to stay here but it was the only place we could find. From the minute we got here we were very pleasantly surprised. The entire staff went out of their way to be helpful. The rooms were great, carpet was freshly cleaned, beds were comfortable, and the towels were new and thick. Best "continental" breakfast we've seen ... in addition to the usual muffins, toast, fruit, and bagels, they offered bacon, eggs, and biscuits & gravy. The hotel is also conveniently located near many stores, restaurants, and just a few minutes from the downtown square. We would definitely stay here again.

Worst Holiday Inn Express ever. My room smells like someone urinated over everything. FYI Rm. 201. I complained and was told it's the only room available for the length of my stay. I really don;t believe this. Everytime I come back from work there are dead and alive roaches in my bathroom. The security key doors are broken. The laundry soap dispenser is broken and the front desk has none. Bad hotel! Oh ya. The owner uses the drive up area as a garage for his cars.

We planned a last-minute trip to Granbury over Labor Day weekend, and most of the nice B&B's were booked. We had stayed at other Holiday Inn Express hotels that were really nice, so we thought this would be a good idea. It was not. It was not very clean. Our room smelled like smoke. The breakfast offerings were not good. Overall, it was not a good idea.

We reserved the room 45 days ago. We requested a ground floor (hotel has no elevator) room with a king size bed. Upon arrival, we were told all the ground floor rooms has been booked. OK, no big deal. I can use the exercise anyway. Entering the room, we discover 2 queen size beds. The clerk says there is nothing she can do. She can't even figure out how to cancel the charge to my credit card . I asked to see the manager, Harold Walls, and he failed to show up.
