“This is a beautiful B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

We spent 2 days at this beautiful B&B. The grounds were awesome, so many places to sit and have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The trees and the view of the Brazos are breathtaking. Janice (the owner) was gracious and very accommodating. We will definitely go back. I highly recommend Cedars on the Brazos. Thank you Janice for a wonderful experience.

From the moment we drove down the road to the B&B we felt miles away from any city, which is what my husband and I were looking for. The property is secluded and sits atop the Brazos River. Janice the owner made us feel welcome from the time we opened the door. The house is rustic, quiet with spacious rooms and bath facilities. Breakfast was 5 star with plentiful portions, and Janice tells the story of her labor of love "Cedars on the Brazos", truly an inspirational story with a stunning view...we will be making this B&B an annual stop for sure.

Room Tip: there is only one King room available...but queens were comfy

My husband and I were married in the prayer chapel on the property and spent our honeymoon in the Copper Tejas Suite in 2011. It was absolutely beautiful. Janice (the owner) was an absolute sweetheart and extremely helpful in our planning of a simple romantic wedding at her bed and breakfast. It is the perfect place to get away and enjoy the beauty of God's creation! It is situated on 1000 acres on the Brazos River. The views are so serene. The breakfast served each morning is so delicious. The room was so comfortable and charming. The company is wonderful and Janice makes you feel right at home. It is away from it all, but a short drive to the charming square in Glen Rose or 20 to 25 minutes to the square Granbury. We loved it so much we returned for our anniversary last year 2012 and I am making reservations tonight for our anniversary this year. Please do not hesitate to go if you are looking for a peaceful, romantic getaway!

Room Tip: I highly recommend the Copper Tejas room, the bed is very comfortable and it is very private.

We just returned from a weekend stay at Cedars on the Brazos. We stayed in the Copper Tejas room and enjoyed everything about this place. The room was nice and spacious and felt very private even at the front entrance area of the house. Janice is a wonderful hostess and prepared the best hearty breakfasts. We loved hearing about the history of her property during breakfast one morning. I especially loved my quiet time on the back patio area overlooking the river and in the chapel. We walked through the meadow and down to the river to dip our feet in the cool water. I truly did not want to leave. I'll be returning in a few weeks to take my mother for a visit for her birthday. I highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: The Copper Tejas room is in the front center of the house on the bottom floor. There are two other...

We arrived to the warm greetings of Janice and felt right at home. She had fresh iced tea waiting for us after we had taken a quick hike around the property...the prayer chapel, the meadow, the amazing view from the deck overlooking the Brazos River. We stayed in the Copper Tejas room with the luxurious king-sized bed. This morning we enjoyed a breakfast of juice, coffee, fresh fruit, glazed sausage, almond french toast and a few blueberry muffins for good measure. YUM! We look forward to a return trip soon.

Absolutely perfect if you're wanting to "get away from it all." It's a little bit hard to find on google maps, but GPS will take you right there! The woman who runs the place is super sweet and a great cook! She had everything we needed and gave wonderful recommendations.
The location is right above the river and couldn't be more beautiful! Definitely in the middle of nowhere...but we kinda liked that!

Room Tip: All rooms are great!
