“Excellent food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

We shared a family dinner here on a Saturday night. With two small children and no reservation, we opted to sit in the second floor dining area. It was a good choice for us, a bit more casual. The wait staff was incredibly attentive, especially since they had to exit the building and climb stairs to reach the 2nd floor dining room.

They have specials for lunch and dinner, but the regular menu items are always good. I like their flavored tea options.

The dining room is small and tight. Their bathrooms open to the dining room.

The food though is very good and we have eaten there on several trips to Galveston.

“Fresh and Fantastic Breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2014

My friend and I began our day trip to the island here, and it was a highlight of the day. I had the bread pudding French toast, a delicious, not overly sweet, option, and she ordered the Eggs Benedict with delicious hollandaise and potatoes. I highly recommend the restaurant and baked goods, after just finishing a biscotti with coffee.

“Good lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Really enjoyed the atmosphere-- nice bakery with fresh desserts. We ordered one of the specials but they were already out by the time we got there. Food was good. Waitress was super and made a great recommendation on her favorite desserts for us.

“Go for lunch and take your leftovers home for dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

I love to go to the Sunflower for a delicious fish meal at lunch time. Their options change from day to day but you can usually find a nut crusted dish such as almond crusted or pecan crusted snapper or another succulent fish choice. Whatever the filet of the day, the portion will be generous and delicious. The sides are equally generous and delicious. Usually yummy mashed potatoes and fresh assorted vegetables. And then there's dessert. Stroll over to the dessert case and make your selection from numerous options. My favorite is the key lime tart. A creamy and delicious filling in a tasty graham cracker crust. Mmmm! Yummy!
