This hotel is stayable....good price, somewhat clean, staff was friendly (when we had to deal with them), beds good, bathroom nice, continental breakfast good. Here's some tips....pool is tiny and there are hardly any chairs by the pool. The outdoor shower does not work....and that sucks especially coming off the beach. There are no towels out by the pool...you have to ask at the front desk and the clock does not work. It just seems that there is really not a lot of effort put into anything in and around Galveston. Whole trip was kind of a disappointment. Beach is full of seaweed and smelled. Breakfast is the typical continental breakfast...there's no complaints there...however, yes, it gets packed and the guests are soooo rude. No one stays in a line...people and kids cutting in front of you...piling up plates...etc. one guy had like 7 apples....really??? Go to the local market to pack your picnic lunch.

Centrally located, about 2 blocks from he beach. Enjoyed the mini fridge and microwave. We had a room with 2 queen beds, and one was very uncomfortable. Mattress needs to be replaced. Room was clean, and had a cute balcony, but not much of a view. Free breakfast was a nice touch, but it was packed and picked over 15 minutes before closing.

Picked this place because it had a 'balcony with an ocean view' and paid extra for that.... uhhhh, yea, if I stuck my head out around the cement pilar and got the binoculars out - oh there is something blue! The air conditioner is sticking out on the balcony, so you get to enjoy the blasting heat & noise of that on your balcony with a view of the dilapitated building next to it. (the other side is overlooking the cemetery). Do not spend extra for this. Neither side of the hotel faces the ocean.
Overall, if you are just needing a place to stay - its okay. The pool is very mis-represented as well. Very small & the cement is chipping off the walls around it.
Paid way too much for a room for one night. Nothing special - it was a place to lay our head after the beach.

Room Tip: The ONLY rooms facing the ocean are on the south. Looked like there was about 4 to choose from.
