We stayed here on January 13, 2013 one night for a sail on the Carnival Triumph. Everything was very good. Even the staff at the front desk, both at check-in and check out were awesome. We had the Faster to the Fun program for Carnival which gave us early boarding. We called down in the morning to get a taxi, because the staff said the would not be shuttling to the ship until 11:00am. To our supprise they shuttled us as soon as we were ready. That saved us a taxi fare. Also, Daryl, the shuttle driver is one of the nicest shuttle people you'll ever want to meet. He knows true southern hospitality, very friendly and helpful. When he came to pick us up at the ship, we got the same good treatment.

We plan to sail out of Galveston again in the future, and we'll be staying here. By the way, it's only a 10 minute shuttle from the hotel to the ship.

We felt very safe, the parking lot where we left our van for 5 days was very secure and gated. You had to use a code for the gate to open.

Stayed here over the first weekend of Mardi Gras. Staff went out of there way to make sure we had a great and safe stay. Heard same feedback from other guests. Some ladies from Louisiana mentioned that the staff didn't see two of them come back in the cab with the other ladies, and the staff members called the cab company to make sure the ladies hadn't been left behind. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, and common areas were well kept. Secure gated parking and free wifi were nice perks as well. Was a bit cold to use the pool but it looked so inviting we will definitely book again to take advantage when the weather warms up.

I recently reserved a pre cruise hotel stay at this location. This was the third time i have stayed there . They appear to have done some major remodeling in the past few years. The hotel is in a great location and if your taking a cruise and want to leave your car you cannot beat their secure lot. The resturant and bar are small and limited. Their cruise package is VERY pricey. The shuttle driver Daryl did a outstanding job.

Stayed the night before the cruise and was taken free by shuttle to port next day by very nice worker at hotel named Daryl. Only paid $20 to have secure gated parking at hotel. Called upon return and Daryl was back at terminal within 15 min. Hotel has a great view and nice outdoor pool.
