We stayed here for 2 nights for a spring break getaway and enjoyed ourselves. The room was very clean but a little dated. The beds were too soft for me and my husband, the towels were way too rough. The t.v had directv with HBO, and the a.c was awesome. The balcony was a partial view of the ocean on the 5th floor.
The hotel offered an indoor pool but was too loud with the echoing of the kids, and we had to walk a very short distance out of the building to get to the pool. Popcorn and lemon water were offered in the lobby, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I don't think I would stay here again though, only because of the bed!

Thank you for your comments. I am sorry to hear about the bed. Bedding is extremely subjective, and other people love soft beds. Personally, I love a good hard bed, not so with my wife. Late next year I believe we are slated to replace all of the beds. Thank you very much for staying with us!

At check in we were greeted by the friendly Miss Tay, who made us feel welcomed right of way. She acknowledged my choice privileges status and rewarded us with a small gift.

The room was a big spacious double which was more than we had hoped for. Cold air, great wifi, clean linen & towels for 4. All rooms have a balcony, but you are facing the parking lot. You still can see the gulf but not a direct view.

Hotel can use a few small cosmetic repairs here and there, but nothing major. The kids enjoyed the popcorn & lemon water which is a great touch.

We'll definitely be back next time we are in Galveston!

We took a very brief trip to Galveston for the start of Spring Break. Had a reservation and was able to check-in early. A major reason for choosing this motel was their indoor heated pool. We were surprised that we had to go outside and into another building to access the lukewarm pool. Not a problem in the heat of Summer, but when it's in the 40s? The room was clean and had all the essentials. We liked our patio and so did the seagulls we fed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Room Tip: To get a good view, choose a higher floor with a "partial view" of the Gulf.

We wish we could have enclosed that 15' walk to the pool too. I'm not sure why it wasn't done. Perhaps it is something we can explore in the future. Thank you for your comments, they allow us to see the property from the eyes of a guest, and there is no better way to do it. We really appreciate your staying with us.

This hotel is a great price value with a friendly staff and a good breakfast. The pool was warm but the hot tub has been removed. We were there a week but the pool area and the stair wells (we don't like elevators) were never swept for the entire week. The same popcorn spills from Mardi Gras week were there when we came and when we left. The pool was very good but the pool area made me feel dirty. The television quality and station selection were the best we have ever experienced in any hotel at any price.

We really appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts regarding the property. I am sorry if we failed to do a good enough job outside, we will work to do better. We always want our guests to be happy. I am glad you liked the TV offerings. We had very recently gone from 36 channels of DirecTV, to their 137 channel package, and guests really love it. Thanks again for staying with us!

Hotel staff was friendly and room was really clean. Don't expect a balcony facing the ocean as there is none; all rooms are along the sides of the building with a balcony and a view of the ocean. Bed and pillows were more comfortable than I expected. The breakfast was what you expect from Quality Inns - okay but not great. Indoor pool is small. I would not pay a lot for this hotel, but all Galveston hotels have seemed to have jacked up their prices in recent years.

Thank you for your comments and for staying with us. I am a bit surprised that a 65.00 rate would be considered high for a Thursday night, but I do understand that the rates have risen the past several years, but so have the expenses of the various properties. We hope to see you again.

Excellent stop, balconies a plus & great breakfast to start day. Easy to find. Right on seawall, coffee while looking at ocean made our day. Staff most helpful, when I mentioned I would comment on trip advisor she thanked me, said they welcomed all comments
