“Large room with balcony”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

Was a little dubious when I booked this hotel as it seemed to be quite cheap for a beach front location. I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw the size of the room which as well as having a large balcony with seating overlooking the sea also had a jacuzzi. The room was beautifully furnished and also had a large flat screen TV as well as a refridgerator and microwave. The decoration in the rest of the hotel was slightly dated however the room more than made up for that. There were also two elevators one at the front and one at the rear of the hotel, this made moving luggage easier especially as they both went down to basement level where you parked your car.Luggage trollies were also provided.
Staff on reception were very helpful and the breakfast was more than adequate.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room for better sea views. The hotel is sideways on to the beach front so all ro...

Staff very pleasant and helpful. Melanie at the front desk was very helpful with our questions and requests for information. Very friendly and welcoming. We were delighted with the weekday price of the room, the convenience to everything we wanted to see and do. Tierra directed us to a souvenir shop/bike rental just one building away. While we didn't find what we were looking for this trip, we know where to go next time we're in town. We are already planning our next trip to the beach and will stay at this hotel because of the way we were treated by these 2 young ladies. We were on the 5th floor facing the gulf. The view was spectacular.

Room Tip: Ask for a gulf view.

Followed fellow Tripadvisor reviews when I selected the Quality Inn while attending a convention and I could not have been happier. Staff was VERY friendly, especially Melanie at the front desk. Getting off the elevator one of the house keepers saw me looking right and left and promptly asked me where my room was...can't remember that ever happening anywhere I have stayed. Hotel older but very clean, my room (501) was spotless and truly non-smoking,not a single whiff of smoke. Very nice view from patio (all face at an angle to ocean but we still had a great view). Room had large flat screen, iron, dryer, soaps/shampoo/conditioner, small coffee maker and fridge. It's only a 4 min walk to the convention center and easy resturants nearby (Mexican, McDonalds, chicken, Waffle House and Chinese). Great value for the $$. Would love to stay again for pleasure in the future.

Room Tip: I think floors 3 and up offer the best views.

The hotel and rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. But the building and the furnishing needs updating - the bathroom tiles were falling apart, the carpet was worn out, and metal on the door frames was rusting, and the elevator was super slow. It was so slow that we skipped waiting on it twice, and used the stairs to climb up to the 4th floor!

The balcony has a nice view of the beach. For the cost of the rooms, breakfast buffet has nothing to write home about - average at most with limited choices.

Room Tip: 4th or 5th floor would offer the best views of the ocean. This hotel does not face the ocean directl...

It was $3 more than Motel 6, with my senior discount, so I was pleasantly surprise of what I.find. The room on the 4th floor ,very very clean, extra big TV, microwave, fridge, safe, coffeemaker, good coffee, internet. And to complete my surprise, I opened another door in the back and was a big balcony with a table and chairs and a beautiful view of the beach!!. I can not find anything negative to say.

Room Tip: I talked with other guests and they all were happy with their rooms

Looking to save a few $. Saw that this hotel had some decent reviews and switched reservations from our previous hotel at the Holiday Inn-Sunspree to this one. Bed was ok. Hotel itself was nothing special. Old carpet, t.v. was not clear at all, pool was being fixed or redone or something. No towels in room when we arrived had to wait 2 hours or so to get them. Not too big a deal. Safe wasn't open to use so I asked 2 different maids but neither obviously understood so I called front desk & was told Maint. man was gone for day but then he showed up a little later and opened it anyway. Breakfast was ok. Again nothing special but just wanted some toast to hold me over until Cruise. If on a tight budget and don't mind average this was ok. Surprisingly, the little sofa was really comfortable! Across the street from the beach, 1-2 blocks from Super Market & not too far from many restaurants. Would stay again if needed a single night but not for more than that.

Room Tip: View of the ocean is sideways due to the turn of the building but less than block away from ocean. T...

We spent one night at Quality Inn with 2 of our grandchildren. My granddaughter forgot her beloved doll and I called one week later...they had the doll! Melanie, at the front desk was extremely polite and kind, kuddos for this great hotel employee! And thank you very much!

Room Tip: A great place for the price and a great location. We had partial view of the gulf. The breakfast was...
