“The Saltwater Taffy!! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

We stopped in for ice cream but came away with a bag full of delicious saltwater taffy instead! It was so fun to watch them make the taffy in front of us and they even threw a piece out to everyone. Yum!!!

“Off the chain fudge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

So I have been here twice and have to admit I have only gotten the fudge both times. The cookies and cream flavor is so good. I have the pumpkin one this time which was okay, but not the best. I also love the peanut butter one. You can't go wrong with PB fudge.

They have tons of chocolates and other fruity candies to choose from too.

I just love the feel of it when you walk in. It seems so old school. Love this place!

“Awesome place for a sweet treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

Great place to visit on The Strand in downtown Galveston. It has that old time feel to it and the service we got was great. Its easy to see why this is rated number 1. While the candy is a little pricey, the ice cream was wonderful and a bargain. They also have candy making demonstrations which are always fun to watch.

“Must visit throwback sweet eats!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

Staged in the older times, assortments of chocolate, a great coffee shop with typical coffee fare, hot chocolate, hand made ice cream, and their special salt water taffy (tours included). Standing at the end of the restaurant gets a great view of salt water taffy production. Do not miss the hand made ice cream. Prices are reasonable.

“service was poor”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

This is a very good sweets store, but some of the employees aren't so sweet. There were a group of workers standing around talking for a couple minutes while we were waiting patiently at the register. Good candy and taffty.
