“Our Favorite Local Seafood Stop.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

We love everything about this place. This is the one place we eat out at in Galveston while visiting the west end. We have never had a bad meal and always leave full and with to go boxes. My all time favorite is the Mac N Cheese with crab added. OMG to die for, it is a big ol bowl of cheesy heaven. The shrimp special they run is always on our tab. A great bargain and it is enough food to fill up a growing teenage boy for an afternoon. The parking is small, but is not an issue as long as you park on the Seawall. We have never been there when it is not crowded so we have always parked on the Seawall and walked to the restaurant. You will be glad you do anyway since you will need to walk after all of the food you eat. Looking forward to visiting this summer.

I don't know if we've ever heard our Crab Mac and Cheese described as "Cheesy Heaven" but it should definitely be renamed that, M! It's wonderful to hear we fill up your whole family during your trips to Galveston. We can't wait to see y'all this upcoming summer!

Until then,

“Cheap prices for awful food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

I try to give establishments the benefit of the doubt, but in this case err on the side of caution. The food is cheap, and badly-cooked, and the iced tea tastes like bleach. Good view of the gulf if you can get one of the few tables by the windows. Definitely a tourist restaurant.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us, Jeff. I will admit, I'm a bit surprised you find our food badly-cooked as we usually receive compliments on our flavors. I'd appreciate more details about your visit. What did you order? Is there a seasoning in particular that would've made your dish memorable? I'm all ears.

Best,

“A much appreciated meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We were very hungry by the time we found ourselves at Miller's Cafe after playing tourist in Galveston. We had to wait a short time, but were given a table that probably should have been held back for a larger party. Our waitress promptly took our order, and when the food arrived, it was simple, tasty and hot. We stuck to burgers, fries, onion rings, baked potatoes - all well done and much appreciated by the three of us.

“Great breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

My husband & I visited for breakfast one weekday morning. I had the breakfast burritos and he had the breakfast special. The breakfast special is the same as the two egg entree except it's $1 cheaper & only available until 11 am. I couldn't finish the burritos. We decided to come back for lunch, but we weren't too impressed with the ribeyes (fatty). Their burgers and other lunch entrees may be better. I do recommend you eat here for breakfast and request a table by the window. Oh, their parking lot is very small & I suggest you enter from Seawall Blvd. or even park on Seawall Blvd. or park on Benito de Galvez St.

Thanks for stopping in to dine with us for breakfast, Pocahontas! The breakfast burritos sure are a stomach-full! We like to fill our customers up before their big day at the beach. We also appreciate the feedback about your lunch order. Our ribeyes are often pretty lean, so it's surprising to hear you found them fatty. It's something we're happy to look into with the kitchen!

Until next time,
