“Delicious seafood and steak”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2014

Post Office Street over by the Strand is less crowded with tourists and very quaint. Loved the mixed media sea life art on the walls! The food was very good. My husband had a bone in ribeye special with an bacon onion jam on it. It was huge and delicious. My sea bass was very delicious as well although kind of a small portion for the price. This was a great place to go to find some menu selections other than fried seafood.
The service was great, wine selection was nice without being overly fussy. My only negative with the place is it is very loud in there and kind of hard to have an intimate dinner with conversation.

“Saltwater Grill”

Enjoyed an evening meal before going to the Opera house. Make sure you make reservations. The food was very good, staff was friendly, prices were fair for what you got. Even the Pino Grigio was a decent price.

“Had Heard So Many Good Things...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

Went mid-afternoon (Thurs), with Hubs, sat at the bar. I "almost" gave them 4 stars, because the service was impeccable. The food & drink, however, were not up to par... We were just walking around, having a drink & an app at each place. Here, we had the Pesto Mussels. The sauce was fantastic, the garlic ciabatta was Lick The Plate Good! But the Mussels... A Very " fishy" flavor, and many with broken shells. We eat quite a few mussels, and that, to us, seemed strange. If they are "cracking" the bivalves in order to serve, there is something not right. I can handle 1-2 broken shells ( it happens), but a third of your dish being cracked/ broken. No. Never. I ate 2-3, didn't care for them, Hubs finished them off. But he was also uneasy with the Broken Shells. And agreed that they tasted "fishy"...

We both had a beer with the mussels, mine a Stella. I didn't think that it was that good, but I'm not a big beer person. Hubs tasted it & pretty much spat it out. Said it tasted "skunky", as if it had been cool, then got hot, and was re-cooled. He said to leave it, wasn't worth what we paid...

Overall, I see potential, but a Huge Letdown for us... Kudos to the servers, they Rocked! But the food was less than "Meh", which saddened us. We might try them again (at dinner, w/ a reservation), but just once more... Not impressed.

“A perfect ending to a really crappy evening.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014 via mobile

We walked in the Saltwater Grill after leaving Willie G's because they had no live lobster, king crab, prickly pear margarita mix and they gave us stale saltine crackers with our appetizer. We had eaten at the Saltwater Grill a few days earlier and had a great experience and knew they had large live lobsters so we decided to go back. We really wanted to have a great last meal of our vacation. A waiter named Travis greeted us pretty much as soon as we walked in and offered us a great booth as soon as he could get it cleared off. They cleaned the table very fast and we sat down. As soon as we were seated he brought our menus, silverware and took our drink order. He offered to tell us the specials of the night and got our drinks out very quickly. He was very attentive, but not overbearing. He gave us great service and the food was great! It was a perfect ending to our vacation!!

“Excellent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

Our server Travis was wonderfull, food tasted really good, I had the almond crusted salmon and my boyfriend had BBQ red fish. Sauces were really tasty and was not a long wait. I work at the Tremont House and everyone always recommends going here so I was due to come figure out what all the excitement is about. I heard the happy hour is excellent so we will have to come back and try it!
