“Amusement park out over the Gulf of Mexico!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

On a long pier out over the Gulf you will find a modern amusement park with some wicked rides! There are also rides for all ages so the entire family has fun. Bubba Gumps restaurant sits at the entrance to the pier. There are clean bathrooms and several food vendors as well. There is nothing like sitting on top of a huge Ferris wheel looking out over the water or across the entire Galveston island. Pricey but worth the experience.

“Pleasant surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Very impressed with the pier. It's clean, friendly and not too busy. Only ride where we had to wait a bit was the log flume. Beautiful views. Looks really pretty when you are at the end of the pier in the evening and all the rides light up. Good place to catch a cool sea breeze!

“Pleasurable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

Expensive but a novelty in Galveston that should be visited. Loved the photo booth and the Ferris wheel that goes over the water. Shaved ice and the candy shop were fun too. The carnival were gratifying games for the kids to easily win at - or for a mom, dad etc to win for the kids. The only downside was the smoking area. I just don't think it should be around kids period. The rest rooms were clean and well maintained and staff were all very friendly. The live music was upbeat and entertaining and the view at night provides great photo opportunities.

“Lots of fun and a cool Gulf Coast breeze”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

We arrived with our four year old after a wonderful dinner at the historic Gaido's seafood restaurant on the Seawall. Our $20 tickets granted us access to all rides. Our favorite ride is the Pirate's Plunge.
Being literally in the midst of the ocean waves adds an extra level of excitement to the rides. Going up in the ferris wheel while looking down into the Gulf was really cool.
We'll probably never eat at Bubba Gump Seafood since Galveston has so many great locally owned seafood restaurants.
It felt 15 degrees cooler than Houston when we arrived in Galveston. Enjoy the Pleasure Pier!
