We had just been to Pier 21 which was an interesting area but it was time to eat and we were unsettled - eating establishments there all seemed too stuffy and fancy for us. So we headed back to the beach and stopped at the first place that had parking nearby on the seawall. That's how we stumbled onto The Beach Hut. So glad we did!
Casual and fun. Beach music and beach volleyball going on right outside plus terrific view of the ocean. There is an outside deck, but it was hot so we sat under cover which was open air with nice breezes. Our teens thought they were really something, because we sat at the bar. I think "Under 21" is allowed up to a certain time in the evening - we ate at mid-day and saw "little ones". One family had their little dog along; another group was doing shots celebrating a birthday, so it's something for everyone and oh so casual. It was busy and we had a long wait for food, which was average. Mostly just enjoyed soaking in the atmosphere. Staff was friendly. We bought a coconut monkey head bank for a souvenir. I would recommend and come back!
