We paid to park at this beach. We were towed 2 minutes after it closed. We paid 125 bucks for the car to be unchained. Three other cars were being towed at the same time. Plenty of police were there to make sure no one got out of hand as they were towing the cars. We tried to get help from the police who were there but it was obvious that they were there to protect the tow trucks. One of the police officers was vulgar so we got his name to complain about him. Next day, we went to Galveston's police website only to find out that the Chief of Police is the brother and son of the owners...we knew better than complain at that time...Now the city makes you pay to park on the streets so you might as well pay at private or public beaches....Money Maker!! Galveston is close to Houston and that's why they get business, but there are other beaches where they won't take your money.
