We stayed one night at the resort in a jacuzzi suite laike we had before a couple of years earlier. We had been part of a 2 day 180 mile bike ride so the jacuzzi was what we were looking for at the end of the first day 100 mile ride.
Check in was fast and easy. The lady at the desk helped us book the shuttle to dinner. The driver was the high point of the stay. He got us to the restaurant easily and when we called for pick up, he knew who we were and came right away to pick us up. Great job!
The suite was nice, the bed comfortable, the bathroom big and stocked well. A nice balcony overlooking the Pyramid and the pool area and a great view of the sunset. The problem was we uncovered the jacuzzi and I stuck my hand in and it was cold! After a 100 mile bike ride it wasn't what you wanted to feel. My wife and I had ben looking forward to this all day and it was a big let down. The front desk sent maintenance up and the guy was very helpful. 30 minutes later he had it to 100 degrees and assured us it would hold. We enjoyed it before dinner! After dinner we got back to the suite and were wanting to soak a little more and I touched the water and it was cold again. What a let down! I called the front desk to notify them and she offered to send maintenace up again, but at 11 pm we weren't willing to wait for him to come and then another 30 minutes to get it heated if at all. I told her we booked the room specifically for the jacuzzi. She agreed it was a disappointment and offered the room at half price. We accepted, but would have preferred to have been soaking in the jacuzzi!
The hotel has not been updated in a while or at all and is getting ready to do a floor by floor remodel. The jacuzzi suites are all going away! The property is nice and although not a beach location is still got a lot around it and within the property to keep you interested.
We like the place for of beach, but the jacuzzi was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!
