This is a small Mom & Pop restaurant that is located downtown Gainsville, Texas. The have great Burgers, Homemade Fries, & different flavors of Homemade Fried Pies to choose. I would 100% recomend this restaurant when you're in Gainesville, Texas visiting. My Parents & I were 100% satified with the food & service. 2 Thumbs Up for the owners of this establishment.

“fried pies and coffee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

The best fried pies you will find around. Old school style with plenty of filling. I have not decided yet which is my favorite, the cherry, peach, coconut. I'll just have to keep going back until I decide.
The decor is mismatched country kisch, old style diner. Great wait staff.
Good breakfasts. Closes early, so no dinners.
On the courthouse square, so you will see lots of the local and county politicians, judges, and some colorful individuals.

“disgusting, couldn't even eat it.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

An emergency call to Gordon Ramsey should be made for this place. We visited the Fried Pie Company several years ago and remembered it being a pleasant experience. Decided to visit again and what a change a few years has made. Décor and furnishing are in dire need of cleaning and refurbishing (maybe even gutted). I ordered one of the daily specials of chicken enchiladas, beans, rice, salad and chips. The chips were overcooked, rice was mushy, beans were undercooked and the chicken enchiladas were disgusting with mushy corn tortillias, salad had to be bagged salad with a pkg of ranch dressing. I picked the chicken out of the center of the enchiladas. My father & husband ordered the other daily special of a chicken fried steak with potatoes, beans, salad and rolls. The rolls were burned on the bottom and served in the same basket along side my burned tortillia chips, chicken fried steak was of the pre-fab frozen variety I can't recall a more disgusting meal. Nothing on any of our plates was pleasing. Cashier and waitress were not pleasant.

“Fried Pie delight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

While the restaurant serves an adequate lunch menu (sandwiches and the like), go to this place for 2 reasons: 1) the fried pie selection, and 2) the characters (both locals and tourists) who frequent this place.
]
The hours are a little strange, as they close early in the day - and it's not uncommon for them to run out of a hot fried pie seller. Other than that, get there around noon, enjoy a sandwich, iced tea, and a fried pie or two - you won't regret it.

“Fired pies are the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

I have been here many times but only once for a meal. We usually just go for the pies, and they never disappoint. I love the coconut the best, and they bring them to you warm. Their flavor selection is outstanding.
