“Good but a bit noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

The food and service were good but the atmosphere is hard to hold an intimate conversation.
We'll give it another try.

“Good Food and Awesome Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

My wife and I ate there on the Prix Fix menu $35 per person for appetizer, entree and dessert. I ordered the seafood pasta and unfortunately the mussels and clams were extremely tough and hard to chew. They waiter was great and had no hesitation in telling me to pick something else even if off of the regular menu. He said the most important thing is that I was happy. Really refreshing when you get a true professional waiter who gets it. I ended up ordering the Chicken Parmigiana and while not the best I have ever had it was very good. This was our second visit and we will be back!

“Soooo disappointed!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

We go out every week, and like to visit different restaurants. We hadn't gone to Isabella's for over a year, and decided to go there tonight. Wow, we're we disappointed!! First, the service was very good, but the food was not. I had the risotto with shrimp. My husband had the sea bass special. The risotto was like paste, and the shrimp had a definite iodine flavor. The sea bass was undercooked and was greasy. We could not finish our meals. They comped our meal and gave us a complimentary dessert, but we were so disappointed in the experience. By the way, the dessert (flan) was also not memorable. We cannot recommend this restaurant, and we won't be going back.

“Isabella's is our Favorite Italian Restaurant in Greater Dallas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

We are frequent travelers to Italy. We have spent nearly 2 years there over the past 20. We love the osterias and trattorias of the hill towns of Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio and the Piemonte. As a result, we are always on a hunt to find the closest representation of that cuisine here. We have been on a serious quest to find the best Italian food in the Dallas area. We have had many good meals at places such as Mi Piaci, Nonnas, Ristorante Nicolas, La Fiorentina and at least a half a dozen others.

Isabella's is consistently the only place that takes us back to our times in Italy. Every time we dine there we remark about the authenicity of Isabella's offering. Branzino is prepared exactly the way we experience it overseas. The Bolongesi parpadelle is the very best we have ever had in the US. The semifreddo is as good as we get at Latta di Luna, our favorite restaurant in Pienza. The wine list is populated with many good Italian wines fairly priced. Try the Vietti Barbera d' Asti with your pasta course and you will be rewarded with a perfect pairing.

The dining room is attractively furnished but it can get a little loud sometimes. We think service is excellent, attentive, professional and friendly. The only reason Isabella's isn't regarded in the very elite of Italian restaurants in Dallas is the reviewing community's bias against the 'burbs.

If you are interested in very good Italian food in a pleasant setting with an affordable wine menu and good service, try Isabella's.

“Beautiful restaurant, good food and great service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

We love eating at Isabella's. From the time you walk in the door you are made to feel welcome. Last night after being greeted by the beautiful Colleen, we were seated in Caesar's section. He remembered our wine choice from a previous dinner. That always earns extra points. We both had the Salmon. Other favorites include the Bolognese con Pappardelle..
