Description: Step into the relaxed sophistication of an authentic Parisian bistro and sidewalk cafe. Bonnie Ruth’s Café Trottoir et Patisserie pays homage to the classic 'French Bistro'. Dine on Steak Frites, Moules Marnière, and Duck Leg Confit. Sip a classic cocktail at our Belle Époque style bar. Join us for Sunday Brunch and eggs benedict on the patio near the fire place, handmade blueberry cream cheese crepes under the rotunda by the fountain or an omelet with a mimosa in the sun. "The vibe is undeniably French A starter of moules Marnière was served in a daunting cast-iron skillet, where dozens of plump Prince Edward Island mussels lay tumbled in a bath of butter, garlic, white wine and lemon juice. The seafood was fresh and firm, just barely infused with the essence of the fragrant broth that surrounded it. Another stunning entree was the skate Grenobloise."

Great take on a Cassoulet with fantastic Duck Confit. Strange name for french fare but all parties loved their food on the night. Not an easy feat. Great pork shank and salad. Fantastic cheeses and good cocktails

“Oh, were it not for a waiter who shouldn't have been”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is a favorite place for French style country cooking. My wife had the mussels cooked in white wine and garlic. From the appearance of the empty bowl it was a hit. The tuna app not so much, only 5 small slices.
Dinner was good. The lamb pop was excellent and the burger was ok. Save room for desserts they are wonderful. The carrot cake is one of the best anywhere. Dark brownie. Need I go on?
The service issues it took 10 minutes to get a glass of water. Ordering a drink from this captain kangaroo lookalike was absurd. They lost about teeny different scotch choices on the menu, without prices
This guy did not know one price. So my friend would ask about one and it was about $10. He came back and said it was $14. Ask about another and the same thing. Why not just learn the darn menu or deliver what was ordered and eat the couple of bucks. New silverware please. One knife has butter on it. He says are you sure that you did not use it? Really arguing with us about this.
Try the other store maybe the service is better the food was good. Stay late and they bring free dessert in Frisco.

“Great ladies' lunch spot!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

Went with my daughter-in-law and my grandson for lunch and had a lovely time. Fabulous sandwiches, soups (we had the chicken portabella soup -- probably the best soup I've ever eaten!) and salads and nice combo plates for lunch. My grandson's child's grilled cheese was big enough for him to have for three meals!

“Eat spicy mussels on the patio”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013 via mobile

French dining complete with Edith PIav music and French decor. Dining on either of the two outdoor patios are where the action it is. The bread and spicy mussels in tomato sauce were my favorite. Leave room for dessert.

“Good food, good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Went on a Monday evening with my wife and two friends. Two of us had the pork chops. Two large pork chops with delicious mashed potatoes and some asparagus as well. My wife had the Talipia which was very good as well. It was served with little, tiny potato chips and aragula. Excellent dinner at a very reasonable price. As we were leaving we noticed that they were serving the $5.00 hamburgers at the next table. They were large and came with french fries all for $5.00 on Mondays. We will be there again next Monday to try them as they looked delicious.
The food was great as was the service. We will return.
