Went to Frisco, TX for a mini-vacation (weekend only) and fell in love with "the game" all over again. Having been to the baseball field in Arlington, TX so many times I had not even thought about Frisco and the Dr. Pepper Ballpark and Arena (not too much of a hockey fan). So when my daughter and I went to this attraction it was a very pleasant sight. The Ballpark all white and gleaming in the sun with the Dr. Pepper Arena's Texas star looming over the Dr. Pepper sign and the famous "water slide" exit coming off the Toll road of 121. This was a great sight And any great sight requires great food---a stroll along Parkwood gets you to La Madeleine Country French Cafe and their delicious tomato basil soup and variety of "dainties". After which you can go next door to Paciugo for wedding cake Italian galato. The traffic was great for a weekend if you come out Parkwood instead of 289 where ALL the traffic seems to just creep along--probably going to Stonebriar Mall. Our visit was one I will make again since I was re-acquainted with Frisco, or should I say, the "new" Frisco and it's "fast ball" of a ballpark in the "side pocket" of Stonebriar Mall.
