Our family ate at this restaurant over the Christmas holidays. We all wanted to try a new German restaurant in Fredericksburg. This went over very well. We started out with an order of the German Spring Rolls Sample Platter for an appetizer. A nice twist on the spring rolls concept. Each of the rolls had a different kind of sauce. All were very good. Most of us ordered the Opa's sausage dinner - and everyone enjoyed it. Opa's is our favorite type of sausage. German potato salad was just ok.. One person ordered the Sauerbraten. It was good, but alot to eat! One person doesn't like heavy German food, so ordered the hambuger and fries. It was good too.
Service was fine and the food came out fairly quickly. We ate dinner about 4:30 pm and were seated immediately. We took the last free table in the restaurant. By the time we finished dinner there was a long line of people waiting. so we were glad we had gone early.
