“One of several connected and related museums”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

Start here and take plenty of time to see each museum. I've been to many museums including the Smithsonian and Normandy Beach museums and in my opinion this is world class.

One ticket purchased here, or at the other locations admits you to all.
I highly recommend this and I, in fact, would drive a day or more to see it. I can't say that I would do this about many other attractions.

On street parking with multiple hotels, b and b's and restaurants of all kinds nearby. See the TA reviews for the other museums such as The National Museum of the Pacific War. In reality, they are all one museum, which was based on this the original Admiral Nimitz Museum.

I would recommend an overnight visit for this. It is that interesting and extensive.

“Take the Time to Visit this Place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

Very thorough history of the pacific and a great museum for its size. It will take at least half a day to take it all in but it is worthwhile. Some very good exhibits and snipets of history throughout.

“Only complete story of Pacific war”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013

In birthplace of the Admiral they not only tell his personal story and that of his family but they continue you with first class history lessons about how it all started and went. Your ticket it valid for 48 hours. We went back for second time there is just to much to see and included is a world class tour through a PT boat, airplanes and combat zone with full explanation. I am impressed....

Pacific War Museum but dedicated to the Admiral's life and career. This is set in his family's hotel; his birthplace is across Main Street.
