“Over rated and disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012 via mobile

Based on reviews and a recommendation from a local, we visited for breakfast. Really disappointed. Service was slow - had to remind waiter for a straw and chase him down for check. The restaurant was not crowded, so have no idea what could have been the issue.

Ordered the regular eggs Benedict and my husband ordered the one with crab cakes. Both came with hard egg yolks - eggs Benedict should have runny yolks. my husband's crab cakes were very thin and pretty bland. The home fries served with both were tasteless and cold.

There must be better places to eat or standards are pretty low in Fredericksburg to have the other reviews say it was so good.

“Great Place for Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

They have a large breakfast menu with lots to choose from! I had the oatmeal and my husband had a traditional breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a biscuit. It was all really good. My only complaint is they put cinnamon in the oatmeal and I didn't really like it.

“Worth getting off Main St!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

It's a small little place next to a motor lodge like other said, but it's a great lunch spot! Ate there for lunch on a short weekend trip for wine country. We split a chicken sandwich (called a Q burger) with avocado, bacon, cheese, hatch green chilis. All the ingredients tasted very fresh. Though the menu isn't extensive, other items all looked tasty. The service was fine, the food came relatively quickly. The cafe decor was perfectly fine and comfortable for this lunch and breakfast spot. We'll be trying it again next time in Fredericksburg.
