We recently stayed at he Tonkawaya Ranch this past Oct. Each cabin is beautifully decorated with a warm South Western flair and contains everything required for an outstanding vacation. The owners, Becky & Joe have clearly put much thought and care into this property as every guests' need and desire has been carefully supplied.
They have provided on-site laundry facilities complete with laundry detergent, dryer sheets and iron. The cabins themselves are fully stocked with absolutely everything you could possibly require during your stay.
Upon our arrival, Becky greeted us warmly carrying a fresh bouquet of flowers for our cabin. What true southern hospitality!
Each weekend Becky delighted us with a delicious hot homemade breakfast. We always knew that Becky and Joe were just a phone call away should any need arise.
Most evenings Joe would build a lovely fire out in the corral for us to enjoy and several times Becky and Joe would join us around the fire to discuss what we had done that day or offer suggestions on things to do or places to go.
When we weren't enjoying a fire, we were most often on the porch of our cabin, rocking in our rocking chairs while we soaked up the heaven that is Texas Hill Country.
In the mornings, deer fed outside our window and in the afternoon we watched the Longhorn cattle graze as we read & rocked. The peacefulness of this place is unsurpassed. I don't believe we have ever had a more relaxing vacation in a more tranquil setting than those we experienced at Tonkaway Ranch. In fact, we cancelled our next 4 days reservation elsewhere to extend our time there.
Becky and Joe truly have a rare gift of making each guest feel like family. Thank you both so much for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.
