“Stop searching and book All Seasons now!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2011

What a gem. My husband and I (early 50's) stayed at All Seasons mid-week in the first week of June 2011 during our 25th anniversary trip through the Hill Country. I researched every single B & B and guest house in or near Fredericksburg (and there are hundreds!) and finally decided on All Seasons because of the beautiful pool area. What a great call! The L-shaped units are ingeniously designed with a spacious walk-in closet that includes a desk/workspace, swivel flat-screen TV, cool tile floors, a seating area with two comfortable chairs and a full candy jar, a kitchenette stocked with everything you've requested in advance, and huge, comfortable beds with luxe sheeting. The bathroom is huge and spotless, with plus towels. The pool came in handy at the end of scorching hot (and dry) days exploring the Hill Country. The pretty landscaping and porches are a great place for morning coffee. It's an easy 2-3 block walk to Main Street Fredericksburg, with all its shops and restaurants. Joe, the innkeeper and owner, deserves high praise for this place and for providing us with everything we requested during our stay. We'd never been to the Hill Country, but we'd definitely go back and definitely would stay at the All Seasons.

Room Tip: Book mid-week; room #6 is next to the pool

If you don't like to relax, and have the best time ever, you will not like this place. Every detail is attended to with love and care, and good vibes just radiate from this hidden gem. It seems like anyone who spends time there feels like it's "our place". We sure felt that way, and we are counting the days until our return. Sometimes it's very difficult to share our most cherished treasures with others, but in this case it's unavoidable. Go, enjoy the majestic beauty of the Circle J. Please respect this property and hopefully we can all call it "our place" for years to come. Cheers to Joe, and continued success :)

Very clean and well kept inside and out. Well appointed and attention to detail. Comfy bed with my sleep number and direct tv. Seemed to have everything we needed even corkscrew and chocolates.

Location was nice being a few blocks off Main St which was really noisy with truck traffic but close enough to walk to Main St.

While ice cube trays were full, an ice maker or full ice bucket would fit in with all the other appointments.

Enjoyed the deep seating furniture at the pool. Should have hot tub heating instructions available.

We had such an great time staying at All Seasons. Joe Cloud was a most attentive host. He gave excellent recommendations. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bed and linens were so soft and comfortable. I have never slept better away from home! I loved all the little things they did like the bottomless candy dish, gourmet local coffee and tasty pastries from the german bakery. We also ordered a picnic lunch and again I was amazed at how great it was. I can not wait return. We are already planning to come again in July for my honeys bday! Really it was the next thing we could think of to celebrate! Did I mention the hot tub was amazing???

Always check Trip Advisor when planning a trip. The reviews for All Seasons Downtown Retreat sold us right away. This is truly a retreat. The rooms are large and very functional and perfectly clean. Even a walk in closet with desk. Nice to hang up clothing and get suitcases, shoes, etc out of the way. All the nice touches are there..turkish towels, high end linens, sleep number bed, mirrors, tasty pastries, chocolate, fruit, drinks. Immaculately clean with modern, fresh furnishings in a new, quaint building. A very comfortable siting area, dining table and much needed counter space. The kitchen area is well stocked and clean. Outside the landscaping is very inviting with a gorgeous pool and hot tub with plenty of comfortable seating under a canopy of trees and stars. The owner greeted us and made sure we had everything for our stay.

Perfect for a quiet get away. Breakfast is in your room at your own time and pace. Loved that!! Parking right in front and walking distance to main street and downtown attractions. Definitely will return.

This was our first stay at All Seasons and by the second day I had booked 5 more stays this year! I, like other reviewers, would like to keep this place a "secret" but that would be selfish on my part and certainly not fair to Joe and his wonderful place. So, let's see, what we loved about All Seasons: (1) it's like an efficiency apartment -- bedroom, bathroom, living room, study/closet, kitchenette with a refrigerator, stove top, microwave, kitchen table, (2) great location within walking distance to Main Street, (3) beautiful landscaping, (4) pool and jacuzzi, (5) and last but not least, a most attentive owner/host -- Joe Cloud! Joe went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. He even met us out on Hwy. 87 near Hilltop to change a flat tire for my husband and I! You can't go wrong by choosing All Seasons for your next stay in Fredericksburg!
