Why do you have to be"Tuscany" to be successful. We have had bad wines in Tuscany and in Texas? That is a catchy marketing phrase but not necessary. I suspect that this is the biggest winery ( we only visited four) and the father figure on the Texas Hill country Wine Trail. The winery is nicely laid out with good parking,a shaded outside sitting area, friendly helpful staff, and large tasting rooms. The day we were there there were outside vendors serving crepes, barbecue and pizzas. We bought a bottle of wine and had a glass outside with our lunch. The wines are above average and we found one that we liked however they would not let us do a shared tasting thus you feel that you have to try all six varities each to get your monies worth. There were several tour buses and a bridal party there at the time and it was very crowded.
