This was our second time to stay at the Main Street Retreat but the first to stay in the Vicor's Room, The Old Rectory and the Humble Plumb, it was just as great as the first time! Joe is so pleasant and welcoming to his establishment and the attention to detail is fabulous. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast danish delicious. It is close enough to everything in Fredericksburg to be very convenient and yet far enough away to be quiet and inviting. Felt like we were at a home away from home!

Room Tip: The Vicor's Room and Old Rectory are a great set up for a family group, it would sleep six but t...

We stayed at the cottages for a romantic weekend get away in November and had a great time in Fredericksburg. The location is within walking distance to Main Street. The cottage was comfortable. Unfortunately there was construction taking place a few houses down the street which was quite noisy at times and disturbing. We did express a housekeeping concern to Joe and he immediately took care of it. Also the cottages are dog friendly and having allergies, pet hair was a problem. Overall the experience was average and for the reasons listed above did not meet our needs.

We rented 4 cottages just as last year and our family loved every minute. The Christmas lights went up while we were there and added to the festivities. We like being able to be together yet having our separate time also. Joe Cloud and his staff took good care of every need and provided a comfortable, clean, refreshing atmosphere. The few requests we had were taken care of almost immediately and pleasantly. The Christmas lights and displays down town were enchanting and we went there Friday night after Thanksgiving and enjoyed the scene very much. We come back because we are completely satisfied and pleased! Carr and Janie, Houston

Room Tip: We've stayed in all and like each one. No 'bad' rooms as far as we are concerned!

This was our first stay at the Main Street Retreat, but having already visited the Down Town property, we expected a great getaway and were not disappointed. We loved the idea of the separate cottages around a courtyard (and the house itself looked liked a perfect place for a larger group or family). It was a little further walk to the downtown shops than was the Down Town Retreat, but it probably was a good idea after the breakfast pastries! Other than the slight difference in the distance, I suppose if a pool and hot tub was high on your list of requirements the Down Town Retreat would be a better choice. Personally, we loved the peace and quiet of the courtyard, and look forward to our next stay there.

Thank you, Joe for an amazing experience at your B&B. Tiffany and I had a wonderful time and you are to thank. We stayed in the Tilt and Kilt Cottage and everything was perfect from the wine in the room to the coffee cake. You do an excellent job of maintaining your property and ensuring every guest of an amazing time.

Also, I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to do a private wine tour of the area after the tour we were suppose to go on was full. That was the highlight of our trip and we will definitely be back for another round soon.

Thanks again for everything!!

John

Room Tip: Tilt and Kilt room has the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

We recently stayed in the Humble Plum Cottage and loved it, our anniversary celebration was just perfect there.
The location could not have been better and the owner was friendly, we were provided coffee, cereal, milk, pastries and even orange juice in the kitchen.
The bed and pillows were very comfy and the bathrooms was clean and large. We even had a covered patio sitting area that was right out the front door but private.
We will definitely be back for future trips, and have told our friends how nice it was.

The All Seasons folks really know how to give you that personal touch of hospitality. The cottage was extremely cozy. We were close enough to downtown to walk, but far enough out at the edge of town to enjoy the ambiance of the quiet nights. We never had to worry about parking, home accommodations, or entertainment. Everything we needed for a peaceful retreat was provided. We were able to come and go as we needed, without feeling we were disturbing other couples.

The cottages and grounds are kept in prime shape. The linens were fresh and clean and the 'house'; bathroom, full kitchen, awesome coffee maker, flat screen LCD, porch - including 2 rocking chairs, were all top of the line and in perfect maintenance.
