“Overall an Excellent Property”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

I stayed at this hotel for four nights during a trade show. I found the hotel staff to be very friendly and capable. I was especially impressed by the housekeeping team who always went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating.

The bed was comfortable and the room had flat screen HD TVs that actually got HD signals on several channels (some hotels have the TVs but no HD channels). The internet coverage was reliable and fast as is typical for Marriott properties except Ritz Carlton.

I was underwhelmed by the concierge lounge. I found the soda and water was not refreshed during the day and on one occasion no diet soda was available. The food frequently ran out in the evening and replenishment was not readily available. Overall the evening food was well below average and not worth the time to go to the lounge.

The fitness center at this hotel is adequate but somewhat disappointing. The cardio equipment is OK but they don't have some key pieces of equipment---for example, there is no upright bike. The hotel has a good selection of Cybex weight machines and some free weights but the Cybex equipment is lower end and fairly old. The fitness center has plenty of space---a refurbishment is in order and would make this an excellent facility.

The hotel has valet and self parking. Self parking is $16 and the garage is connected to the hotel. A downtown shuttle runs from the front of the hotel and the convention center is an easy walk---maybe ten minutes door to door.

Spent 5 days there early April and throughly enjoyed the stay. It's centrally located downtown right in the Sundance Square shopping district and surrounded by numerous shops, restaurants, and bars easliy within walking distance.
The folks at the Front Desk were prompt and courteous, very welcoming. The Concierge (I'm sorry, horrible with names) was extremely helpful in suggestions and tips for the area. Did a great job arranging cars and drivers for our wanderings thru Dallas and Ft Worth.
The rooms were spacious with a nice, large flatscreen, great view. The only downside to the room was there was no vent/fan in the bathroom so the whole room got very humid once someone got out of the shower - to the point where the large exterior room window was covered with condensation.
The housekeeping and room service staff did a great job. We especially liked the lounge above the lobby. Intimate, cozy, with a great bartender who seemed to have my drink ready soon as we walked into the place - maybe that's a sign we spent alot of time up there?
We ate at Vidialias (the hotel restaurant) for breaksfast only and found it to be on par with other high-end hotel eateries.
Overall, great place, great people, excellent location. Will certainly stay again when in the area!

Have been staying at this hotels for years. Great property with an ideal location on Sundance Square. We normally get the terrace suite with the larger patio. This last visit I had the pleasure of getting stuck in the elevator for 45 minutes. After pushing the help button, there was no answer for 20 minutes.

These things happen, but not even a call or sorry from the manager. Since I am only a Gold Member with Marriot, I guess I don't rete an apology

Room Tip: Terrace suite

We were so excited to be in such a great part of the city. We went out, had a nice dinner, and were fast asleep when, at 1 am, the guests next door amped up the volume. This continued until 5 am, with them knocking on our door, calling and hanging up and getting louder and louder. We would call the desk and they would do what they do, but the annoyance was continual.
I hope the hotel's planned renovation includes a better sound barrier between rooms, as we could hear quite clearly, what was being said. Upon awakening, we did find a coupon for a free coffee and pastry at the Starbucks in the hotel, but we were too tired and just wanted to get home.

Room Tip: We were by the elevator, but it wasn't as annoying as our neighbors.

My husband and I traveled up to Ft Worth for an overnight stay. We booked the Worthington because of its location. It's beautiful inside and out. Recently remodeled, but still with its "old school" feel it was worth the extra cost to stay here for convenience as well as the experience. The staff goes above and beyond with their customer service. Each and every person we encountered was extremely pleasant and made you feel they were truly happy to have you. Room was clean, well designed and spacious. Bathrooms were amazing with the added counters space in both areas. We stayed on the 11th floor and the view was amazing!

Great location in Ft. Worth. Right in the midst of Sundance Square which has plently of places to eat. I was there for business and found the restaurant to be clean and attractive. Rooms were a decent size. Bathrooms upgraded and attractive. Service was great as well. Would stay again.

Stayed here Easter weekend with friends. Staff very customer service oriented. Food and Beverage Manager, Tim, was especially hospitable. Rooms well appointed and clean. Location in heart of downtown is perfect. Only suggestion we would make is that the bathtub/shower could use grab bars to make it easier and safer to get in and out.
