“A nice place in downtown Fort Worth”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2011

I've stayed at the Renaissance Worthington 3 times now and I have enjoyed it each time. The location is great, right in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, with lots of entertainment and dining options within walking distance. The hotel is a nice, slightly upscale property.

The rooms are nice and comfortable. I have had no complaints with any of the rooms I have had. The fitness center is nice and I liked the weights area to go with the usual treadmills, ellipticals, etc. The bar and restaurant areas are nice. I thought the restaurant was overpriced for the quality of food, especially breakfast. I generally eat at the surrounding restaurants while here. Parking is in an adjacent garage and there is a fee if you are driving. The staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating.

My stays here have been for business and I have gotten a corporate rate each time, about $100 per night. For that price, I highly recommend this hotel. I would even stay for $120 or so a night as it really is a nice place. The lack of any complimentary items, ie breakfast, parking, etc. is the only negative I have.

Room Tip: Nice place to stay in Cowtown

The Worthington is a very nice hotel in downtown Fort Worth. The rooms are large and have very comfortable beds with nice linens. The hotel appeared to be pretty full with a couple of conventions, but we never heard any noise from our room. The hotel bar is very nice. There are a lot of good restaurants in easy walking distance. It was our first visit to Fort Worth and we really liked the city as well as the hotel. The fitness center is very large and offers just about every piece of equipment you could need. Room service was delicious, but very slow. The gift shop was pathetic-they shouldn't even bother.

Stayed at the Worthington for an overnight trip to Fort Worth and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The hotel is located in the Sundance Square area so is surrounded by excellent bars and restaurants. My room was on the 12th floor and had a huge picture window with a sweeping view of the prairie to the north. A nice big room with all the necessary amenities. Easy stay. Highly recommended. $22 for valet parking is a bit steep for Fort Worth.

CAUTION! Stayed at the Ft Worth Worthington with a large group of co-workers all from the same company, Read reimbursed by company. How may of us go on a business trip and just turn in our expense report. Fortunately I looked at mine a littler closer. I elected to "self park" and save the company a few dollars. But my bad knee started acting up after a couple of days and switched to valet parking. Guess what? They charge me BOTH self park ($16.00 per day) AND valet ($22.00 per day) for the whole week. Had to call twice to get corrected bill. Also, one of my coworkers valet parked and they gave her car to another hotel guest. There were old refrigerators, four of them, garbage laundry carts etc. in the hallway for the first two days I was there. The Fort "Worth" "Worthington" is NOT "Worth" the price.

Tis is the first time I ahve posted a review on TripAdvisor and just realized I could have take a pic of the "junk" in the hallway and posted it. @#$%&*

We stayed on 7th floor mid hotel on 7/14-7/16 and noticed the demolition work going on when we checked in on Friday afternoon...the hotel said they werent supposed to work on the weekends, but Saturday morning at 7AM they started demolition again....think of the sound a garbage truck makes empting a dumpster full of metal and glass bottles over and over and over and over again...the hotel said they were surprised and apologized, but offered no compensation.....it looks like they just started the demolition so for the next month or more avoid this hotel like the plague if you like sleeping past 7am

Very nice room and always predictable. I've stayed there many times. Near Sundance
Square so easy to walk to restaurants in the area. Very easy drive from DFW airport.
