What was I thinking? I can not believe I somehow overlooked checking Tripadvisor before I booked this place. Lesson learned big time!

What would have once been a truly funky, 60's era motel is WELL overdue for a SERIOUS refurb! At $99 + tax + $7 car parking per nite, I was expecting a basic, but still reasonable standard. Not to be. Sagging beds, stained carpets & so, so poorly maintained in every respect. It was enough to make a once proud hospitality industry worker weep. And then there was the noise... I can only guess downtown hotel Fort Worth accommodation demand is outstripping supply, cos The Park Central, in its current incarnation, is not worth the bucks.

Literally pay the extra dollar or two, & have yourself an enjoyable stay at one of the other downtown hotels. It is an otherwise really lovely, rusurgent city center.

Stayed at this so called hotel for a conference held at the convention center. The only good thing I can say was it was right across the street from it. Floors are so dirty you can't walk on the with out shoes, window so dirt you can barely see out. Parking gargage is a joke. Not even big enough for the amount of rooms that they have. One of elevators will not open on the second floor. We use the steps. Also our key card would not work daily. One day I had to have my card recharged "5" times. They even changed the battery pack on door and it still did not help.
I realize this is a old hotel but with only a little tlc this could be a really nice hotel. Carpert and paint, drapes, beding. The week we were there they were full at $100.00 a night times 6 night by 75 rooms. (They list 101 I think but not that many are rented some hold junk)

Went to Fort Worth for a business training at the convention center and stayed here for 4 hideous nights! The only good thing about it was that it was right accross the street from the convention center. The room was dirty and there were nasty stains on the floor and the mattress. The bathtub was dirty and stained and there was hair in the sink! The windows had so much scum on the inside and outside that you could not see through them.
Another woman in oour group had the mirror to fall from the wall and into her belongings!
The staff, with the exception of one girl , were simply trying to overcome their situation. They tried to be helpful and friendly , but even they knew that the place was beyond redemption!!!!
I was very dissapointed as this was my first trip here. Next year , believe me , I will be forking my money over to stay at a clean, non-scary, hotel!

The location is great, but that is all. The parking is a nightmare with only a few cramped spaces. They have a parking garage that is like a basement-cars are continually being blocked in. The lobby is dusty and dingy. The first room that they gave me was nasty-it smelled and the carpet was disgusting. The second room was tolerable. The elevator is small and barely works. The luggage cart barely fits in the elevator and the cart is hard to manuever around. It fell apart as I was trying to get it to my room. The bar is directly under the rooms and the live music could be heard clearly. There needs to be major renovation, remodeling and major cleaning. The pictures on their site make it look quaint, but it is just run down. I was expecting old and small but not filth.
