“What a little gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2005

We were absolutely delighted to light upon the Texas White House after a bad experience at Hotel Texas in the Stockyards the night before. The hosts Jamie and Grover were exceptionally welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our visit memorable and very comfortable. We made the mistake of not having our own transport but Grover kindly helped us out. The Texas White House is a beautiful and elegant home and we would recommend it unreservedly. And, Jamie's breakfasts are the icing on the cake!

My husband and I wanted to get away one Saturday night. We were so glad the Texas White House had the Tejas Room available. Grover provided us with great directions to the place and a personal welcome when we arrived. He made a fine suggestion for a unique Italian dining experience. Afterward, we settled in for a peaceful evening together in our nicely furnished and comfortable upstairs room. The next morning, we savored a cup of coffee (or two!) and read by the fireplace downstairs. The breakfast was a real treat. And to top it off, we received some great gardening tips from Jamie.

The Texas White House is an excellent place for a get away, whether you are from outside of Fort Worth or living in Fort Worth. It is an "at home" resort that is welcoming at any time of the day or night. My fiancee and I have stayed at the Texas White House on numerous occasions and have always found the atmosphere and service friendly, impeccable and professional.
This Valentine's Day, my fiancee surprised me with a romantic stay the Texas White House in the Longhorn suite with its beautiful fireplace in the living room and the jacuzzi filled with rose petals. Jamie and Grover, owners of the TWH worked with him to have everything ready and perfect -from the roses, chocolate, champagne, rose petals - everything to make it very special.

The Texas White House is a true gem in the city of Fort Worth and has become our favorite place to stay.It will definitely be the place to put up our friends and relatives when they visit.
Thank you Jamie and Grover for making all our visits feel "at home" in a private resort atmosphere.

We had three generations of family from six cities in three states who filled the facility and did not want to leave after three birthdays were celebrated. Jamie and Grover are exceptional hosts. They were always there to answer our every need but we had all the privacy we desired. They went out of their way to deal with the birthday cakes and pie while making sure that everyone had a memorable breakfast for at least three consecutive days. Their suggestions for what to see and where to dine out were right on target. It is not easy to celebrate a birthday for eighty, seventy-five and eighteen years, but the Texas White House is definitely the place to do that. I believe all of us want to be back there when ever we can get schedules worked out.

What a great time we had in the Mustang Suite. It was beautifully decorated and very private. The owners/innkeepers achieved the perfect balance of giving us privacy while being accessible when we needed anything. Breakfast was delicious. We will stay there again whenever we go to Ft Worth.
