“Ft.Worth Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

Everything about this hotel was great. People at the front desk, all staff members very cheerful, helpful, courteous. The complimentary breakfast is exceptional featuring just about any breakfast item one would like. Plus, guests can have cooked-to-order eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, etc. The breakfast room is very spacious and comfortable.
Guest rooms are large, very clean, very quiet, comfortable bed. Meeting rooms, business ctr
are top-notch. Location is downtown Ft.Worth, across the street from the Bass Concert
Center. There is an excellent Thai restaurant within the Embassy Suites and there are many, many excellent restaurants well within walking distance. Hotel is also within walking distance of the central bus & train terminal. There is a free shuttle/train which runs throughout the downtown area of Ft. Worth. This city is a model for "downtown development!" check-it-out.

I stayed here 5 nights in June 2013. It was top notch in every aspect, from the minute I drove up at the valet I was treated well, I had no more walked through the front door that I was greeted with my room key, I did not have to go thru the typical ordeal at the front desk, the bell men were excellent and helpful, the food great at breakfast, every member if the staff passing me in a hallway not only greeted me but asked if they could assist me. The location was convenient. Rooms perfect, housekeeping helpful I travel a lot and this was by far the best experience I have encountered even from hotels charging much more! Great management is reflected in the attitudes of the staff, I wish I could have taken the valets home with me,

Perhaps its because I have stayed in several Embassy suites and they are infinitely better in every aspect. Perhaps its because the rate was doubled because of the Downtown Fourth of July celebration, which turned out to be an unfortunate and disappointing fireworks display, Perhaps it was because I misunderstood that there was no pool - ok - an indoor pool which I actually thought was a big hot tub when i saw it, Perhaps it was because i saw the Keystone Light beer being brought out for the managers reception; Perhaps it was because the breakfast buffett didn't come close to representing what I've come to expect from other Embassy properties; Perhaps it was because when i pulled out my sleeper sofa, there were no linens; Could be because the room - even tho a suite - was one of the smallest rooms I've EVER seen represented as a suite. Could be because there is no other parking choice except an additional $25 Valet - athough their service was quick, very helpful and efficient.. A total of $354 for one night - YECH.

The Embassy Suites downtown is such a fabulous location. I stayed here for a bachelorette party, and it was great to be able to walk everywhere and never have to take a cab. The price was very reasonable as well. My only complaints would be to have more natural light in the room (very dark, even though we were on the corner), and we booked a boardroom suite and it was supposed to come with a large table that seats six and it only came with a small table that seats 4.

Embassy Suites is everything a hotel should be. The beds are perfect; the couch is so comfortable you can accidentally fall asleep on it (ahem); there's plenty of hot water. Everything here is clean and polished, down to the smallest detail.

The breakfast is a combination of made-to-order items (omelets, pancakes, eggs), a hot buffet full of a changing selection of other items, a cold buffet with fruit, plus bread, bagels, and cereal. Not a bad item in the house.

The staff at this hotel sets it apart, though. The valets somehow stayed cheerful while wheeling heavy luggage carts around in the Texas summer heat. The front desk was wonderful. The cooks at breakfast did a great job. Housekeeping worked miracles. The ladies at the Starbucks Bistro were about the friendliest folks you could ever hope to meet. Ashlyn in particular did a great job for us in the bistro. We stayed for a full week, and it felt like we were staying with friends by the second day.

In short, the hotel is beautiful, it's comfortable, and it's in a great location, but the staff here really raises the bar above the competition.

Very nice hotel. We are repeat customers and they were great before and didn't see any need for improvements, but they have. ALL the staff is very kind and helpful and personable. They do not just appear to act kind because they have too. Breakfast as always is excellent. Would recommend to anyone staying downtown and will stay again.
