Great location, very friendly staff, nice, comfortable rooms. Close to all amenities downtown FW. I have to say, it's the people their that make it great. They know your name, your car and are super helpful.

From manager to desk clerks, to bellhops, to cook staff, not to mention the dear Ashlyn at the coffee bar were delightful people always giving more than expected.

The free open bar and snacks every evening plus the very best and varied cook-to-order breakfast surpasses all recent hotel stays. Hints: Don't mind the sticky floor - it is scrubbed daily but the finish is faulty. Weather permitting enjoy the adjoining terrace. The great coffee remains available even after breakfast. Bring supplies from your room.

Location is near Sundance Square, Bass Hall and an easy 15 min walk (poorly marked) to the TRE train ($2.50) to Centreport (or Dallas) and then on by free shuttle to DFW Airport.

Now the bad. Room 309, one of six overlooking an enclosed shaft, was the picture of gloom. Terrible decor - olive and brown. No sky seen. Trash remained under the desk 5 days, sheets were never changed. The sofa, my sleeping bed, smelled like a wet dog. I suspect the AC had been off for a while since after two days of AC drying out, I didn't notice it. One fresh towel had dark streaks but there were others that were nice. This room was quiet!

This was a group tour and fancy digs weren't expected. All told, I would happily return here but avoid the shaft rooms, perhaps checking out the room before agreeing to it as the Europeans do.

Booked thru Priceline. Lobby was extremely small. Could not check in until after 3:00pm. View from the room was of rooftop and brick wall. Bath was okay but very small. Shower was good. Beds were comfortable. A/C was good. Staff gave inaccurate information regarding shuttle service. Full service breakfast was good. Pool was ridiculously small and only 3' deep. Hotel needs updating & carpet cleaning. Not worth the price paid through Priceline ... will not stay here again.

I was trying to print a document in the business center and the printer was printing blank pages. I called the front desk and they sent David Castillo up to assist me. He quickly determined the printer was not working properly. With no other alternatives, David came up with a solution, and suggested I send to him the document I wanted to print. I complied with his request, and then followed him to his office. He opened his e-mail and printed the document for me.

While in the elevator, I asked him how long he had worked here. He indicated three years, and also mentioned he really liked working here. He then said he is all about customer service.

I mentioned this to the manager in charge and she suggested I fill out this form.

David demonstrated what I would refer to as "superior customer service" and should be recognized for what he did.

All companies need employees like David.

Thank you,

Embassy Suites Downtown Ft. Worth a lovely experience. Staff trained exceptionally, they are warm, courteous, friendly & eager to assist in any way. Location perfect for short walks to many restaurants, Bass Performance Hall literally across the street. The large breakfast room and daily papers a plus - omelets to order, many choices.

Starbucks off the lobby with Ashlyn running evenings. She is a delight & every business should have an Ashlyn. Obviously enjoys her job & makes best drinks. Any interaction with her was great fun.

Karen kept our suite spotless.

Tina's Thai restaurant in hotel presented best Asian meal I've ever had. Delicious, huge portions, Excellent presentation.

If I sound gushy, it's because this was a hotel experience that lived up to & beyond my expectations, which is a rarity.

I don't have space to say enough good things about Embassy Suites in Ft. Worth. The suites are beautiful, and the customer service is beyond expectation. All the employees actually seem to like their jobs! I stayed there for 10 days and didn't want to leave. Every single employee smiled and talked to guests. Young, smiling desk attendants often lined up at the hotel entrance to greet returning guests. The Cordon Bleu student omelet chef thanked me for staying there. I caught a maintenance man coming down a hall singing. The room attendant told me she wanted me to feel at home so I would return someday. Free drinks and snacks every evening for two hours. Every hotel should be like this--almost none is.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back don't have as many windows. Ask for a room on the street, with big windows. St...
