“Try the Dutch Baby”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Honest food, good service, quick turnaround even on busy weekends, clean. Why go to Waffle House or Denny's when you can go here. The special is a Dutch Baby which is like a lemon merange pancake. Sweet, but delicious. Prices are fair to cheap. If you see the line out the door, don't worry, it's only about a 30 min wait. For a less hustle bustle experience go on an off peak time. This is a five star review for a Pancake House, not a Michelin Star Restaurant. The decor is from the 70's as are some of the waitresses. I really dig it. I have never had a bad meal or a long wait on food, ever. My eggs were always cooked perfect. All the staff are friendly despite being slammed every weekend.

“35 year tradition broken”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

I have gone to Ol' South Pancake House for 35 years on my birthday and other times during the year. Service kept getting worse and food no longer was superb, in fact it usually arrived more cold than hot, staff was never to be found or bickering among themselves. It is sad a 35 year tradition has been stopped do to terrible food and service.

“The German Pancakes are Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

I am not really into "sweet" breakfasts, but the German pancakes at Ol' South were quite an experience. All that lemon juice makes them a great dish. The staff were very friendly too. It looked really crowded with a huge line; however, we only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table.
