“Keep Walking”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

Everyone said to go to Cattlemen's so off we went. I guess I expected too much. I had the ribeye. Just OK. Nothing to brag about. They seated is in a corner booth away from other patrons and it was so dark you could barely read the menu. The ribeye, as I said before was OK but lacked pop in your mouth seasoning that should be expected from a place that specializes in steaks. I hate to say this but I've had better at one of the chains like Texas Roadhouse. Our server Christy was the only bright spot of the night. She did a great job and worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed. There are too many alternatives within walking distance to try this one again.

“Good place for tourists...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013 via mobile

This is your stereotypical "Texas Steakhouse". From the carpeting, to the walls, and even the dishes, you feel like your in an episode of The Big Valley. It's a good place to try if you're in the stockyards and wanna feel like a true cattleman, however there are much better steakhouses just a few blocks south in Downtown, where (when it's all said and done) the prices are about the same.

“Good authentic food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013 via mobile

Family of four made reservations on St. Patrick's Day weekend. Were seated quickly in a booth with very dim lighting. Server was slow at first but ended up doing a nice job overall of serving us. Great selection and variety of food on a high end price scale. Ordered an appetizer (loaded fried, good!) but meal was served with salad and dinner rolls. Left full and happy.

“If you want a authentic steak house.... This is the one”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Catttleman's is located in the Fort Worth Stockyards and is a city icon. A tad pricy but well worth it. Every entertainer travelling through Fort Worth has eaten here if they know what's good for them. Situated just a couple blocks from Billy Bods Texas (known as the world's largest honky tonk)... if you go to the Stockyards for a vacation....Cattleman's is a must

“Didn't live up to the hype!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We were told about this restaurant before we left for our trip. Then again by the woman that took care of our rental car reservation. Our mouths watered as we waited for our steaks. Only to be disappointed by the shear blandness of our food. Needless to say, we were a little disappointed. But the steaks did look pretty! The staff wasn't very attentive either. The waitresses liked to congregate near the grill, chatting rather then refresh our drinks while we waited. It was mid-week and the place wasn't very busy. We wouldn't want to be there when it was.
