“SOUTH SIDE MAINSTAY”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

This place is a popular lunch location near the hospitals and downtown. The food is average "mom and pop" fare in an old Safeway grocery store building. I eat there a couple of times a year.

“Hometown goodness”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013 via mobile

Eat here. It is a quaint but old fashioned breakfast eatery. The service is great, the value is great and the food is amazing. Yum!

“Great breakfast location, lunch not so much”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013 via mobile

Paris gets an excellent rating on breakfast alone. Lunch is overpriced and in my opinion the plate lunches are not that great. Also it is so crowded for lunch there is almost always a wait. For breakfast I almost always have biscuits with gravy and grits, which are consistently good. The house hot sauce is really great.

“Very Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

Wow, heard this place was great so we stopped in for lunch - what a big disappointment! The lunch is not inexpensive and was not very good. For over $8 the chicken fingers were just not very good, nor was the hamburger steak. The sides - mashed potatoes and gravy fell short as well as the rolls and cornbread. The black eye peas were good. There are so many better options for lunch - especially in this price range.

“A Fort Worth Legend --- for a very good reason!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

The Paris Coffee Shop on Magnolia at Hemphill in Fort Worth has been in operation for over 50 years. Mike Smith's father started it, but Mike has been at the helm for many years. The wait staff hires on for a lifetime. The pies are legendary and the blue plate specials are way better than the price would have you believe. Anybody who is anybody or anybody who wants to see and be seen goes to the Paris Coffee Shop. Breakfast on Saturday, you can expect to stand in line for a table if you get there after 8:00. This is a Fort Worth institution and, to really experience the hometown atmosphere of Fort Worth, this is the place.
