“Great Sunday Supper Music”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2015

We went to a Sunday Supper event with Matt Hillyer and Deryl Dodd. It was great evening of music. The venue is small and the sound was great. Staff was helpful. We did not try the food but will go back again and will try the food. Was a very enjoyable evening!

“Great atmosphere! Awesome staff! Killer food and drinks!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2014

The Live Oak hosted the KWC ( Karaoke World Championship) Nationals, which I took part in. They were so very accommodating and kind. I can't say enough about this ultra cool Fort Worth hot-spot... Go and see for yourself the rooftop view is to die for!

“The rooftop is the draw”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2014

Rooftop eating and drinking and live music are a very successful formula. I visited Live Oak on my last visit to Fort Worth. I believe they are in a bit of a transition in management, staff and menu. The menu offered was very limited, but the patty melt I ate was delicious. The kitchen was amenable to substitutions and it was clear that the management is most interested in customer input and satisfaction. There were more kinds of beer on tap than I have ever seen in a restaurant and bar situation. This re-invention should be a success. Worth a visit, especially if the weather allows for an outdoor drink and/or meal.

“Want to love it but.......”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

I'm a Fort Worthian and we need a venue like the Live Oak.
the roof top is greatness and that is where it ends.
Every time I go, the place is so unorganized and mishandled.
This week I went twice. On Wednesday July 3rd and Friday July 4th.
July 3rd they had Ed Rogers on the calendar, listened to him on line and thought he was good so we went to see him and Instead we got Katie Grace. Asked the owner about Ed and he looked at me funny and said to night was Katie.
Started listening to her, really good. Great 70's music, my god who plays and sings Poco Harum. Katie then went on a break said she would be back. Soon after she stared unplugging her equipment and you could see in her body language she was upset. come to find out, they bumped her because of a scheduled conflict (which was oh Ed is coming after all). I felt sorry for her, you don't treat your muscians that way. Also ordered a grilled cheese and 37 minutes later got it.
Next night we were supposed to see Big Mike with a great view of the fireworks. Big Mike never showed and the fireworks were behind the trees. the poor guy that was before Big Mike had to play all night for hours, heard every song 3 times, felt sorry for him also.
This is not the first time I have had this experience at the Live Oak.
Now let me say, the rooftop is free and it is a great place to see local artist, but can we get it together Mr Liveoak? Can we get our food on time, actually listen to who is on the calendar and have the wait staff put a smile on their face. Come on, Fort Worth wants to love you.

“cool view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014

Really good and intimate music venue and restaurant. It's in an old historic bulding just off Magnolia street. They have a huge outdoor 2nd floor patio that has awsome views of Downtown FTW. Great beer selection!!!! The bar food is a very small menu and its decent but not great. Don't come hungry. But its a great place..totally great atmosphere! if going to a show there isnt a bad seat in the house! But the bar can be a little loud and distracting.
