We stayed in a 'Western decor' room facing the Stockyards, which gave us a great view of the street below. The room was a decent size and had a king size bed. The windowless bathroom was a little dark and needed a brighter bulb.
The valet parking is a bit of a hassle - if you can be bothered to drive past the hotel you can park for free in the huge parking lots at the end of the road (less than a 5 minute walk), saving $15 a night.
This is really the place to stay in the area and we would come back; you're right in the thick of it and can stroll to all the Stockyards attractions close by. However, be warned: it is INCREDIBLY noisy on Saturday nights. The (unusually bad) live music at Love Shack opposite kept us up until 2am. If you are sensitive to noise it's worth asking for a quieter room when staying at the weekend, and taking a room which doesn't face the Stockyards. It's a trade-off: you'll miss the view, but gain a few hours' peace.
