“Favorite Hampton Inn and Suites”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

We have stayed at this particular hotel several times and have always been pleased with our stay. Due to my entourage of children, we always get a suite, which is very roomy and ideal for getting the wiggles out. There is also a very nice, small pool and hot tub that we have always had to ourselves at each visit. This hotel, due to location, seems to cater to business clientele, so it is never swarming with kids. It's always clean and comfy! At one particular stay the front desk staff directed us to a unique restaurant located within a short drive located in a Conoco gas station that was featured on Diners and Dives. Google gave me quirky directions to this place the first time, but we managed.

We stayed April 5-6, 2013 in a Queen Studio suite. The room was clean and spacious. The property was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast both days and were pleased with the variety of offerings. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. We will stay here again next time we are in Ft. Worth.

The staff was very helpful. The hotel was clean and the grounds were well kept. There was great variety at the complimentary breakfast offered. The pool and hot tub were indoors which is always a plus in my book. The only thing missing from this location is Happy Hour. I strongly recommend this location.

I probably would have rated this hotel as a "5" if it weren't for all the construction around the hotel. It was very difficult to get to and we weren't warned about the construction when we booked. Once we were there we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and new design of this Hampton Inn. The suite were were in was beautiful with nice drapes that kept the room nice and dark and the crown moldings in the room were stained .. .not painted white. The breakfast was your typical Hampton Inn - lousy powdery eggs, etc. I stuck with the cereal which works out just fine for me. Just plan well if you stay here. The highway construction is supposed to last for a long time. This shouldn't deter you, however, because it is a very nice property.

Good Hampton service and a good Hampton breakfast. Its easy to take those things for granted, but not everybody has that level of service. Room was clean, quiet, beds nice, safe neighborhood. The hotel is on a side street near the intersection of I-35W and I-820, making it tricky, the first time, to get from the interstate to the hotel. If you are on I-35 north, take the Western Center Blvd exit, then take a quick right turn between Chilis' and Wendy's (that Sandshell Drive) follow that south for about a mile. If you miss that turn, then you will have to take a right on Western Center Blvd and follow it (past the golf course) to Beach Street. Take Beach Street to Sandshell. (turn right, next to the What A Burger, before the intertate.) If you are on 820, take the Haltom Rd Exit (water tower) to Western Center then left to Beach St. The reason for all the driving instructions is there is A LOT of highway construction and this might help you avoid the congestion.

We stayed here on a couples getaway and were pleasantly surprised. The lobby/breakfast area is spacious and appears to have been remodelled recently. Staff were excellent and knowledgeable concerning local attractins, restaraunts, and circumvention of the horrific road contruction detours.

We took advantage of the free shuttle to and from the Stockyards Historic District(Billy Bob's Texas). Shuttle runs every 45 minutes, beginning at 6:30 pm. Last run is at 2 am. When compared to a $20-25 cab ride or a more expensive DUI, merely tipping the driver was a bargain! On that point, we were the only ones who did. Sad. Be sure to sign up as early as possible to insure a seat. Going over was never full, but coming back was.

Room was clean and spacious. We had a King Suite ($99 per night on the Billy Bob Special). Bed was quite comfortable. Room had a large counter area with a fridge, microwave, coffemaker and sink.Complimentary coffee, creamer, etc. Sitting area with loveseat, desk etc. was average. Large flatscreen tv swiveled for viewing from sofa or bed.Large closet with in room safe.

Only drawback was the road construction in the area. Even with gps, we had a bit of trouble getting to the hotel, as some of te roads were closed or had been recently completely demolished. However the staff offered excellent advice on alternate routes to all our destinations and back.

Room Tip: Elevator is in the center of the floor, so lower numbers are less travelled. We were in #200. Very q...

The hotel is very clean and beautiful. Breakfast was ok. The bed is actually comfortable. My only complaint is that if you are depending on the shuttle to take you AND to pick up at Billy Bobs you better plan on paying for a cab. Our driver said that since the concert did not finish until 12:30 that he would pick us up at that time rather than 12:20. I guess he got amnesia and was already gone at 12:30. Grrrr we had to pay $30 for a taxi to bring us back to the room.
