“Love this place.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Have been multiple times and it's always top notch. The service is good, fast and friendly. The food's good, lots of it and pretty well priced. Good bar, with good beer on tap.

For a sit-down fairly formal gulf-coast seafood house this is it.

“Atmosphere, food, service.. Just like being at the beach....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

This is a really great seafood place in Denton, TX.. Nowhere near a lake or ocean, but once you are inside the restaurant, you will feel like you are at the beach! The atmosphere is great! Lots of neat signs and decorations inside. Wonderful menu with many selections. All sounded terrific. The service was super.. the wait staff is right there to help you out. If you like seafood and cajun style food, try Dani Rae's right off I 35 in Denton, TX. This was my first visit here and I know we will return...Very good portions and prices are very reasonable ... A sign inside says "Free Beer Tomorrow"....

“Great seafood in Denton”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

Dani Rae's Gulf Coast Kitchen is the place for delicious seafood, down home cooking and the tastes of the Gulf. It has a laid back, fun dining experience. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. Located off I35E in Denton TX. Some of the best seafood in Denton.

“Unexpected great bar and drinks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

Always wanted to try this place - was called something else before they changed the name. I was surprised by the great bar scene and drink choice. We ended up eating by the bar - the food was good and the drinks even better.

“Beautiful (but too short) trip to New Orleans”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

We love Frilly's on the North Side of Denton, but Dani Rae's, which used to be associated with Frilly's, gives guests a completely different experience. Frilly's gives guests the experience that they have when at a "hole in the wall" in New Orleans--food to "die for" and the realistic experience that they are there for the food, not the atmosphere, but that is an ambiance all its own, in a good way. Dani Rae's, however, is more like the courtyard in one of New Orleans restaurants, with decorations that make you just feel better about life and the food always consistent and delicious. The staff there is young, energetic and seem to be very interested in giving you a good experience there. It is great to have two distinctly New Orleans style (and not chains) restaurants in one little town.
