“RUDE PARK RANGERS!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

My husband and I and our three boys stayed in the shelter area from july 1st through July 5th. First let me say that the park is grossly overpriced, when we got to our shelter it was filthy! we asked the cleaning crew to pick it up when we came back only the firering was cleaned... I'm not just talking about a few dust bunnys either after all that we went around the back of our shelter to find 7 or 8 different piles of used tolite paper!!! Secondly the rangers are horrible. we brought or two dogs one3 year old pug and a 8 week old puppy...the ranger who protroles 5x's a day decided to stop on the4th and tell us our puppy needed to be leashed he's not even big enough for a collor that young! We didn't have any neighbors and our pug doesn't go anywhere with out us so he through a huge fit over the no leash thing and he was just unessarly rude to us..he comes back a few hours later both our dogs are in our portable fence on the side my husband and i were inside when the ranger snuck over to our shelter and opened the door!!! He said WHERE ARE YOUR DOGS THEY BETTER NOT BE IN YOUR SHELTER I'VE ALREADY WARNED YOU ONCE ABOUT THE DOGS!!! Needless to say my husband was pissed and i don't know why but he has just decided to pick on us so yeah we won't be coming back...

“Beautiful area, but angry Park Rangers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

We camped here for two nights this past weekend. We had 3 spots and were sitting at the campsite relaxing and talking to friends and relatives. At 10pm, Ranger Erik came walking up to our site and told us we had to keep the noise down. We were listening to music on our phone (so you know that it wasn't that loud). He rudely said "you need to turn that music off. This is not a request, it's the law". We turned it off immediately and we were literally whispering to each other. He left, walked up the road a little and within minutes came back to us and told us that we had been warned once and if he had to come back, he was going to start issuing citations. There was more noise coming from the camp 2 sites down by them driving back and forth to the bathrooms all night long. The bathrooms were filthy. The good side of the park is it is very pretty and has a nice swim beach for the kids. We won't be going back though.

“Great little park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013 via mobile

Always heard of this park, and finally made time to visit. The lake is awesome and so beautiful. We ended up going to marina and renting a pontoon boat. Staff was pleasant and so helpful to deal with. We will be back ASAP for another rental, maybe next time we can hike the park :)
