“Nice Place, Good Deal”

Stopped her on the way back from Breckenridge, CO. Property was was in typical Hampton Inn good shape. Beds were great and rooms were adequate. The indoor pool was in nice shape and the lobby was extremely nice. The only have 2 knocks: 1) The breakfast buffet, as is typical with most Hampton Inn's, was horrible...and 2) Although very sweet and apologetic, the desk staff struggled getting myself and other travelers into rooms.

With that said, the property was very clean, well kept, good location for the weary traveler, rate was good, and again, the beds were great. Would stay here again when trvaeling thru Decatur.

After staying at the Comfort Suites for the last 20 years when we go to the swap meets, this time we stayed at the Hampton Inn. Wasn't a whole lot more money and the accommodations were worth a whole lot more than the difference. Loved loved loved the bedding, the bed, the bathrooms. They launder the duvet cover every day ... not many hotels can claim that. Bedspreads, etc usually gross me out and I won't get near them but knowing that they clean their's everyday was a huge point-maker for me. Will always stay there from now on.

we were in town for a race. the hotel did not honor the rate for our group. Manager was rude.. Breakfast was horrible... all the worker types staying there were noisy...carpet wasnt vacuumed well and had dirt around the edges...

When you have a large event in a small town one would think that more attention would be given to taking care of the volume of customers..... And being ready for it. The hotel was full and the breakfast was not up to Hampton standards. Only oranges for fruit and we were down to eat at 7am. The coffee was not refreshed. The food service was marginal and in no hurry whatsoever. As a regular travellers thru N TX this was not our favorite place and we will be selective with our stays on Hwy 287. It also is hard to return to the hotel if you go to the Walmart or Lowes next door as you cannot make a left or go up the hill. Perhaps as this is a new hotel it can and will get better.

Easy to check in & out. Friendly staff. Convenient location - nearby restaurants & stores. Very clean room and bathroom. Very spacious. Comfortable. Nice features like refrigerator, microwave, desk, flat screen TV, coffee maker. One thing that was noticeable were the many electrical plugs. Many more than the high dollar place I stayed in a few weeks before in Boston. Plenty for the laptop, phone, NOOK, iPod, etc. There were many storage options in the bathroom and plenty of towel racks. Again, better than the high dollar place in Boston!! I was only there overnight & didn't use the amenties but next year when I go back, I may consider staying a day or so just to kick back. I'm not a big breakfast eater but I did eat at the buffet. It was fine and there were many choices like cereal, fresh waffles, fruit, rolls, etc.

This is such a great place to stay while in Decatur! I frequently stay in Hilton hotels, and this is absolutely the best hotel, Hilton or not, that I have ever stayed in. The hotel was squeaky clean and had super comfy beds. Lobby and room designs were modern, fresh, and in good condition. Pool and exercise area was clean, well-kept, and not busy. The breakfast area has something for everyone. A special mention of the older woman who managed the breakfast area (cooking, cleaning, setting things out). Her friendliness made us feel as if we were in her own kitchen and she even brought warm cinnamon rolls to our table. Which were also fabulous. In Decatur? Stay here. No questions asked.

As a road warrior who stays primarily at Hampton's, and someone who has stayed at this property a number of times, my experience here is always positive. First of all the staff are great, especially behind the counter. Rooms are nice, nothing great but nice and most importantly always clean. Bathrooms are well equipped and modern. Flat screen TVs with plenty of cable channels to pick from as well. I can't speak to the breakfast since I usually leave before breakfast is served.

Then only downside was as a diamond member I wish they did a better job of meeting my request for a 1st floor room. I don't understand why this isn't more of a priority. Really what does my status get me if they don't honor something as simple as that.
