We have always found the staff to be great and they remember us on each visit (2-3 times a year). We stay for business and are always very pleased with the room, staff and management. Dining out is a short walk in any direction. Highly recomended.

We stayed here in late June for three nights mid-week.

Pros:
- Very affordable rates (maybe that was a just a temporary deal?)
- Awesome location. Short walk to tons of restaurants and shopping
- Friendly staff
- Live entertainment nightly
- Large rooms with comfortable beds
- Wine and dine in the Landmark restaurant is a good deal (loved the hummus and naan bread)

Cons:
- $24 for valet parking is a bit steep
- The hallways smelled a bit dated, if that makes any sense
- Room was a bit too warm. Maybe there was a thermostat but I never found it
- Fitness center is poo-poo and there is no pool :(

I recently stayed here for a wedding. While the hotel was beautiful, and we enjoyed the library (the hotel bar), I am not sure that I would choose to stay here again. It was not the service, the service was good, with the exception of one of the gentlemen at the front desk. It was the fact that this is not a cheap hotel, but I still felt very nickeled and dimed at every turn. Apparently, the complementary breakfast was not included at our room rate. Something, that if mentioned when booking the hotel, I probably would have opted to use. We tried to use the hotel car several times, which was a mess. Most of the places that we needed to go were outside of the 3 mile limit. It was also very unreliable and if you did not stay on top of them, they would give the car that you had been waiting on for 30 minutes to someone else. The hotel keys were very easily de-magnetized, which resulted in us having to reset the keys pretty much every time we returned to the room. We were in a room with 2 fulls, and they were the smallest fulls I have ever seen. It felt more like sleeping in a twin and a half. In conclusion, this was definitely not the worst hotel experience I have ever had, but I expected much more for the amount if money I paid for the room.

We held a private business group celebration at the Warwick Melrose hotel on a weekday evening. We were privileged to have both the historic and elegant suite along with the rooftop patio for our venue. The staff provided delicious food for our group and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout the evening. It was lovely to be in this facility, which is designated as an historic hotel and for good reason having once catered to many famous personalities of yester-year. The location is easy to find; parking is plentiful. Loved having an event here and will look for opportunities to do so again!

My local group had a graduation party in the Bridewell room and outdoor terrace this month. Cinthia Skidmore and her staff worked with us every step of the way to make sure we had a night to remember! We were a little bit of a logistical challenge, but nothing stopped them from making it a success. The hotel is beautiful and charming. From the valet, to the concierge, to the event staff, to the hotel room staff - they all made sure the night was smooth. I recommend using the Melrose and know you will have a wonderful experience too.

My husband & I recently made a return stay at the Dallas Melrose Hotel for our anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised when we were informed that they had upgraded our room from the standard king to a superior king, which was large & spacious with an equally large bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean & the understated elegance of the decor goes perfectly with the quiet, relaxing environment of the hotel, which you notice as soon as you walk in the door of this lovely place. After we had left our room for a little while, we returned to find an ice bucket filled with a nice bottle of champagne & some chocolate covered strawberries for our enjoyment. This was very nice. They really appreciate your business at this hotel. Also, their location is great, near the new arts district & they provide complimentary transportation to nearby restaurants. Also, love the Library Piano Bar.

Room Tip: We love staying on the 2nd floor as there are an abundance of windows
