The hotel had just finished a complete renovation as well as a re-labeling from Radisson to Holiday Inn. As a result of the renovation, the rooms were terrific. They’re large; the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is up-to-date. In terms of amenities, a great TV, refrigerator, and free Internet. The hotel location is fine, too---on the North Central Expressway but also within an easy walk of the DART. I needed DART to attend a conference at the convention center (all of the downtown rooms were booked). Was pleasantly surprised by how well this plan worked. It’s also an easy walk to Kroger, if you want to pick up a meal and eat it in the room. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and polite, but not 100 percent attentive to details. I had advised them that a package was being delivered to me. I asked where it was after it had been delivered and they said it hadn’t arrived when I could see it on the counter. Also, as of May 2013, the Supershuttle (and perhaps other similar services) was not aware that the Radisson was now a Holiday Inn. As a result, it was impossible to make reservations for airport transportation to the hotel (I just said I was at the Radisson when making return reservations). But one expects a few minor glitches with travel and overall, I would strongly recommend this hotel.
