I booked this hotel through Expedia and wrote this review for Expedia, but they rejected it. So, I'm posting it here, because I think people need to know what they are getting into when they book at this hotel, even if Expedia doesn't want them to know.
Holiday Inn Dallas Central - Park Cities
I thought I heard rain around midnight -- got up to investigate and found that my bathroom ceiling was leaking. I called the front desk and was told there was nothing they could do. The hotel was overbooked and no maintenance personnel were on staff. They brought me a trash can to place under the leaks. I was told the room would be comp'd for that night. The next morning, the bill was under my door, no comp. To top it off, the bathroom ceiling started leaking again. I guess whenever someone in the room above used the facilities, it leaked into my bathroom. I checked it out a little more closely and saw that there was evidence that the leak had been ongoing for awhile. Also, the internet was next to useless. After I arrived in my room, I called to ask what was going on with the internet. After being placed on hold for more than 5 minutes, I was told parts of the hotel didn't have a strong signal. I could move to another room, but there was no guarantee that I would have a good signal in that room. It was suggested to me that I take my computer to another room to see if I could get a signal there. I requested that I be moved to a room where they were sure I could get a signal, but was told that they weren't sure where that would be. Finally, be advised that the hotel is on a freeway. The sound of the traffic was pretty loud in my room.
